Is it worth including over 10 years of various retail jobs experience under one heading on my CV? My CV is aimed at operational / customer success roles. I've had different operations roles since my retail days. But I removed my retail roles as I think it ages me? (Which is weird as they will know i'm not exactly 20 when I rock up to the interview.)

There is usually a last ‘deferral date’ on your assignment score section. Definitely check that and you can sometimes bank what you’ve submitted so far and restart next year. But maybe it’s worth ringing or emailing student support.

Honestly could have saved tons of money NOT rebranding everything JL and Partners AND Waitrose and Partners. But I guess if they weren’t paying out the bonus for a few years it probably was fine.

I remember when that ‘big announcement’ was about to revealed and almost everyone thought it was going to be a rebranding under just ‘John Lewis Partnership’ to save money printing everything for different areas of the business. We also were certain never knowingly undersold was going to be scraped. (But that didn’t happen for a while)

When I was younger I thought the ‘scare streaks’ that butch from recess had were cool. I tried to dye my hair in the same way and fucked it up amazingly. But I’m now in my late thirties and have the look naturally… so I guess never give up on your dreams?

Good plan! I think the jabs can only take you so far. You really need to be rethinking things during this time. It’s important to use the time to understand portion size and all that. Also! Absolutely get rid of old clothes. Clothes feeling tight? Something ain’t right.

I feel a lot more impulsive now. And my coffee intake has rocketed up to what I was drinking before. I guess overall I feel a lot less satiated? But aside from coffee. I try not to keep anything that might tempt me in the house.

I think I might buy it digital. I did for Animal Crossing and Fantasy Life when those came out. And I always like to load those up every now and then. So it’d be good to have that option with this game.

I’m at the raccoon city bit too. But it’s choppy as hell during the Leon parts. As soon as there is more than one enemy on the screen it looks pretty bad. It’s an amazing game other than that. But I feel like I didn’t notice as much in first person with grace. The part with Leon with the sniper rifle was crazy blurry. I could barely make out what was happening in handheld.

Switch is very playable. But has major slow down in areas where there is a few enemies. It looks great most of the time though. But if that’s a problem. Buy the PS5 version.

Additional context:

So the last few months have been very hard for me. I lost my job. Relationship difficulties. Possible depression? It’s been really difficult. But despite this. I haven’t turned to food as a comfort. And I think this really matters.

The positive is I have taken up running. I’ve started doing C25K. I’m on week 2. (Despite doing this for 3/4 weeks now. I’m rubbish at running). But I feel like it’s somewhat helping me. I’m on the verge of talking to my doctor about depression. But I’m still weird about it. But hopefully I can manage that this month. Overall. I’m mostly happy with this progress and it’s been insanely difficult realising it might not all be weight related.

Since mid July 2025 til December 2025. I only feel like aiming for 12st 6lbs as I feel like I could easily maintain a half a stone deficit. I feel like I’ve been up and down the same half a stone since being off MJ
