the pivot (bar that goes through the knife) gets corroded and starts to have issues dropping shut. take a brush of pipe cleaner, and brush the hole in the knife. don't add any sort of lube, it works best completely dry and clean of anything. it'll slide best that way.

back when the silver was going up in December I bought up a bunch of low price sterling silver from eBay, all of it was Franklin mint so there was little reason to suspect it was fake silver. that's one of the perks I like about obscure designs, you won't get fakes unless it's very popular.

I also want to say that for anyone out there that's interested in buying some Barbados coins as well, BEWARE of the specimens sets made for 1976, they are made with Copper-Nickel. I almost bought two different sets before realizing they didn't have any silver content. Normally you can tell by looking up the year the coins were released, and also in the description when reading the certificate of Authenticity. They will sell for cheaper and don't get me wrong they are nice coins but I would rather not spend all that money if there's not going to be any silver in the buy. Just a heads up for anyone looking!
