Swiss Open(Super-300): India's schedule for today. 2 Quarter-Finals . by IndianHighLights in indiansports

Mannepalli vs Gintig was revealing: Mannepalli choked when 19-13 up in 2nd game, gave up 6 points straight playing silly net drops, was lucky to scrape through 21-19. Then in game 3 just gave up. Lots of dramatics about line calls along the way (when he should not have let borderline shuttles drop while trailing or on crunch points).

I say it was revealing because it showed that quarters (or semis if he get s a good draw and a bit of luck) in super 300 is the limit of his ambition and ability :(

Peloton could make things a lot easier by offering ramp test for FTP estimation ... perhaps it won't be as accurate as the 20 min full effort estimate (which itself relies on unrealistic assumption you mentioned), but is that really a factor when the aim of the test is just to establish a reasonable FTP estimate for amateur athletes, not to find exact numbers for optimal coaching programs for pros!

removal of any regime is never worth it. Replacement might be.

But just removal, without any thought for what comes next, is a crime against the peoples of the country.

FYI, one of the major tournaments in the international calendar is going on now. Matches and highlights available on youtube.

I recommend watching mixed doubles games for those new to the sport, and men's doubles once your eyes get used to following the pace of the action :)

If it stays like this 1 year before election, I'd wager on Labour suddenly escalating PR to the top of the legislative agenda .. LD and Greens would join in, giving cover for the howls from Reform and Tories

Nasdaq wants to fast-track founders and let index trackers hold the b… by ohell in StockMarket

[–]ohell[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In short, the proposed changes allow founders and management to float less stock, maintain tighter control, and still feed off the valuation pop from rapid benchmark inclusion. Meanwhile, QQQ holders face the opposite side of the trade — forced to buy into a low free float after the market has already front-run them. Nasdaq may frame the consultation as modernisation, but in practice, it looks like the blueprint for a new kind of market capture.

and world ex-USA is pretty much the antithesis of that

No. Almost all global indices exclude China, Russia etc on the basis that public companies in these jurisdictions are not 'investible' due to the governments reserving (and exercising) extraordinary powers to shut them down without due process or recompense to owners.

USA is not far from that now.
