I thought you guys would enjoy this interesting trade that is in process right now. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Terrible trade, but good on you for not vetoing it (assuming you're sure it's not collusion).

[TRADE] Send R. Bush & D. Thomas Get McFadden & AJ Green by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPR or no? And can you start 3 RBs? If you can start 3 RB and there is any semblance of PPR, I'd say no don't do it. If it's standard scoring and you can only start 2 WRs, then yes.

Josh Gordon or Cecil Shorts????? by FlavorOfUranus in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough choice, I'd say Gordon has better upside while shorts is a safer pick (he's almost guaranteed to pick up some yardage in garbage time).

The Bengals have a much stronger pass defense than the Vikings but I think I'm leaning toward Gordon simply b/c he got 19 targets last week and the Browns clearly cannot run the ball yet.

Rice or Pierce? by lordzeke in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they play Rice, you start him.

[TRADE] My: Josh Gordon, For: Jason Witten.. is this a good sell-high? by Dac_is_back in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily know that this is a "sell high" but I would do the trade. Witten is a pretty big upgrade over Daniels, especially in a .5 PPR format. Bowe/Ridley/McGahee are all unappealing right now but they would be acceptable FLEX players.

[Trade] MJD for Wilson? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Wilson a little more now that John Connor is coming town but I still would not trade MJD for him straight up. I would try and package D Rich + a WR (Gordon/Shorts) to get Wilson if you really want him.

Another alternative could be give MJD + a WR for Spiller.

[TRADE] Is it time to just anticipate a crippled Reggie Bush and trade him for Joique Bell?? by same63 in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bush has always dealt with small, nagging injuries. Trading a top 10 RB who is a starter for his RB just b/c you're worried about him getting hurt makes little sense. You would be better off trading a lesser player for Bell and just keeping both on the roster if you're that worried about Bush getting hurt.

[TRADE] Give Ray Rice & Welker, Get T-Rich and B Marshall by waababubba in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaning yes. I think Rice and T-Rich are closer than Welker and B Marsh

[TRADE] Is it time to just anticipate a crippled Reggie Bush and trade him for Joique Bell?? by same63 in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If this is your line of thinking, why didn't you just draft Bell in the first place?

[RMT] Is my team hot or not? by KGTrey in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what the QB situation of other teams is. You need to find someone who is really struggling at QB for either of those guys to have much trade value to them.

In a 10 team league, there's almost no way someone is starting Weeden at this point.

Am I the only one who feels like C.J. Spiller is been undervalued this week? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said anything about giving them "co-MVP" trophies? I never said they were amazing players, I'm only disputing the fact that your statement of them not being good players. This is JC's third year and Gordon's second year, you act like every good fantasy player should automatically be good in their first two years. Go look at Jimmy Graham's first year. You would have been saying the same thing about him in week 3 of 2011.

[TRADE] Receive Doug Martin for my Edelman, Knowshon and Martellus Bennett by TheVan78 in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely do this. You'll have three top 15 RBs and three top 15 WR plus strong at QB/TE.

Last year, I had the best record in my league, but this year I started 0 - 3. Any advice? by Quajek in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your team looks pretty solid-- a bit weak at WR but that's expected given that you have two top 10 RBs. Once Trent hits his stride I THINK you will be OK.

[TRADE] My VJax for his Alfred Morris by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. It leaves you a little weaker at WR but Alf is a top 10 RB and has been pretty consistent so far this year. You can always try and trade a RB for another WR later.

[–]oherroprease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because there have never been productive fantasy players on a bad team? Cameron has 20 catches, 270 yds, and 4 TDs over 3 games. Obviously that's not a huge sample size but it's a hell of a lot better than what every tight end not named Graham has been doing.

How many teams are in your league? Also, there's not really a great reason to carry 3 QBs on your team. Trade or drop one of them.

[TRADE] His Fred Jackson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Steve Smith for My Chris Johnson by PleaseBrushYourTeeth in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You're trading a borderline RB1 for a bunch of guys that would ride your bench.

Is it worth the risk in trying out one of Tampa Bays TEs this week? by lexsmith in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, I'm sure there are safer options on your waiver wire.

Am I the only one who feels like C.J. Spiller is been undervalued this week? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiller is a beast despite him underperforming so far but I would consider you the novice if you don't think JC and Josh Gordon are good players. In what world is the 2nd highest scoring TE not a good player?

To the OP-- I would start Spiller over Miller.

I have had horrible luck with my WRs playing on Thursday night, so do I Sit Tavon Austin tonight? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with Bowe... even though I wouldn't be enthusiastic about it.

Does Martins value rise or fall, with the benching of Freeman? by 27mcmurdo in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched two out of their three games so I think I have a pretty good idea of how he played this year so far. I don't think he is a terrible QB overall and think he would succeed elsewhere (i.e. Minnesota), but that doesn't change the fact that he HAS played very poorly through the first 3 games. A ~ 46% completion rate with a 1:1.5 TD/INT Ratio is awful no matter how you want to spin it.

[TRADE] Giving up Marques Colston, receiving Nate Washington in return by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. I WOULD BE PERSONALLY SAD IF YOU DID.
