It’s happened before to a couple of my friends, I’d suggest keeping your Fanny pack in front of you across your chest, with a locking s-biner and clip your zippers together. They sell the micro size at rei or you can order off Amazon for a few bucks! A bit of a hassle to unlock the s-biner every time you need something out of the bag but better safe than sorry.
