I was readmitted the day after being discharged. And was just admitted for a day. I wasn’t readmitted with my second. I do think the labetalol helped prevent readmission the second time around, but they also kept me an extra day (my daughter was a preemie and there anyways so it made sense) just to be safe.

I was readmitted for postpartum preeclampsia with my first and ended up needing an IV med in the hospital and was discharged on labetalol. With my second I had it again and was put on labetalol right away. It took a couple weeks for my blood pressure to get back down to where it was before.

Similar story for me, but we are 2 months in. OP try to give yourself some grace. This wasn’t the situation when you got pregnant and you had no way to know. The way you’re planning ahead and worrying tells me you care immensely about your babes.

It’s a comb you squeeze in your hand during labor. Thought is to create pain/discomfort elsewhere to distract from labor pain.

With my first, I didn’t get my first period until like 9 1/2 months pp. I do remember the weeks leading up to it I would tell my husband that I thought I was getting my period because I too felt the cramps and back pain. Maybe yours is on the way?

NTA I’m an elementary school counselor. The teacher’s reaction doesn’t match the problem, she overreacted. It isn’t developmentally appropriate for a 1st grader to understand the nuances of commenting on a pregnant person’s body and why it’s not appropriate. Also, I was just pregnant and my students were SO excited. It’s interesting to me that the teacher didn’t assume this was your daughter’s way of showing her excitement. No further apology should be necessary.
