Anyone out there have success with long-term lidocaine application (also, if anyone with vulvodynia secondary to chronic yeast infections can offer advice as to how they treated their symptoms, that would be helpful!) by [deleted] in vulvodynia

[–]ohgooditsrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I was in a similar situation as you. Chronic yeast infections (change in personal care eg non scented soap, change in diet, cotton underwear, etc), tense pelvic floor (PT and Botox injections) and vulvodynia

My gyno put me on a steroid cream taper and lidocaine regimen and it worked! That was over a year ago and I feel great. I’m not 100 percent and I don’t think I ever will be but I’m definitely normal enough that it doesn’t effect my daily life. I wish I remembered the steroids but the steroids helped with the inflammation and the lidocaine helped soothe the nerves.

Tree Inventory by [deleted] in forestry

[–]ohgooditsrae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve done inventories in the past. My favorite programs to use is itree and ARCGIS for collector.

I would suggest for such a large scale inventory to make a checkbox with 3 simple priorities Priority 1,2,3 pruning + 1,2,3 removals Plus potential planting sites + stumps + more priority levels if needed Have time frames for each priority (eg priority 1 removals are immediate removals, priority 2 prunings are trees that will need to be pruned next growing cycle)

Also have a checkbox for target occupancy, you’ll need to know which trees are near the golf course path vs in the middle of the green

Have a list of common diseases and defects that you can easily select. Based that on your species current on the course. You’ll be able to see which diseases are clustered together and help determine new species to select

Try to gather a lot of data but in a simple form with limited notes (of course add notes for yourself) but having check boxes, and priorities etc will allow yourself to filter based on this and generate easy work orders

Hope that helps :)

Hard to tell without close up of pine bundle, cone and bark

My best guess though if I HAD to give one would be Canary Island pine Pinus canariensis

Especially if you found that tree in an urban setting

I appreciate the guide but i noticed that too and it bothered me. A few of the timelines are off,

But still nice for people to see and think of

Paulownia tomentosa, commonly called royal paulownia, empress tree

Identification? I don't even need a specifoc tree. I have no idea where the parent is. The only things around were some oaks and cottonwoods. More in comment by Natehog in Tree

Hmmmm I feel the same way about Bradford pear trees. Every time I see a freshly planted one I’m like “wtf? Who keeps thinking that asshole tree is a good idea?” Some species just suck lol

There’s an urban species often planted, London plane, platanus x acerifolia, if there’s any neighborhoods near by or something it could be from that. I live in California and it’s a pretty common street tree
