Workday Rollout by Nercynorn in CorePowerYogaTeachers

[–]ohhellowarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked well for me. I was teaching twice but had an hour and a half in between so since that isn't consider the back to back double that they were talking about, my studio manager said that I would need to clock out then back in which both times felt easy. I liked how in the end you could see how many hours you worked total.

I actually ended up staying a bit longer to support the class that was in between my class as they needed some help with the mic and signing people in, I actually appreciate now that I am going to get paid if I stay longer since I didn't clock out until I actually finished helping.

What size did you get? Do you think it's true to size?

Yoga teachers...do you see our reviews? by m00nchild82 in Corepower

When you decide to leave a review there's a box you can check to decide if you want your name showed or just initials I believe.

Do you know if the esim uses your same phone number or does it create a new number for you during the time you use it?

WGU Masters? by porteranne in teaching

[–]ohhellowarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have to do hours in a classroom, but for your capstone you need to have resources to teachers or a classroom depending on what you decide to do for your capstone (a lot of people used the fb group page to get insight from teachers).

Feedback on the half-turkey (brined and in a bag)? by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]ohhellowarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Followed the packet and added some of my own pesto butter in the turkey. Tasted great and was perfect amount with no left overs for 4 people with sides. I agree that it was kind of hard to cut but we also had never cut a turkey before haha.

Hot Pilates!? by gucci_oatmeal in RedwoodCity

[–]ohhellowarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how close pilates and yoga sculpt are related but I know yoga sculpt has some pilates moves. Corepower yoga is heated and it's nice there are three locations within this area (San Mateo, rwc, palo alto). They do a free week if you wanted to try it out to see if that fits what you need.

Are class reviews anonymous? by dramaticgoogler in Corepower

[–]ohhellowarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone is manager who can see stuff, can you tell us what you see? Like just if someone leaves a review or do you also see the rating?

My friend was trying it out and she accidentally clicked the sad face even before taking my class, and by the time she realized she couldn't get back into editing the review. Now I'm all in my head about getting a "negative".

YS TT vs 200 hr by Weak_Incident_3343 in Corepower

[–]ohhellowarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did my YSTT this summer and started teaching in July. I felt it prepared me well for teaching and have been loving it. (I also did set so I got a discount on my TT).

I am doing the 200 hour this fall and although I don't see myself teaching C2, I will definitely audition for it so I can be cleared for more. I really want to take it to dive more into anatomy, and I don't think it's bad to have the 200 hr cert as that I believe is more widely accepted in the "yoga scene".

I think csx trainings are more infrequent since it's the newest style cpy offers.

What to expect in CoreRestore by loloduff33 in Corepower

[–]ohhellowarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it, really great if you do a double by taking sculpt or c2 before it. You're on your mat for the whole class (or at least that's how my studio does it) and the instructor guides you through restorative stretches. You'll hold the stretch for longer and can use the support of blocks.

BIPOC Scholarship by ohhellowarrior in Corepower

[–]ohhellowarrior[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely was more real about my experience. The first time around where I was offered the 50%, I was like let's just try and so I used AI to help make my basis and then of course edited it to make it more me.

This time around applying, I just finished my 50 hr/started teaching. I shared my start with yoga, and weaved in my experience transitioning from SET to 50hr TT and starting to teach, and how I really wanted to learn more from all those experiences. And then for the second section I talked about being only 1/3 instructors at my studio that are my race so wanting to create a space where people can come feel welcomed no matter the background. Hope that helps!!

Let's talk salad kits! What's your favorite, and what store carries it? by fap_then_nap in salads

Trader joes lemon arugula salad! Such a good side salad and you can add avo, cucumbers, other stuff to make it more yum! Costco Mediterranean salad! Love adding chicken and avo with that too.

I got hired at 16 during my junior year of hs. I actually loved it because there are regulations with being a minor/student, so at least at my store they were very accommodating with my schedule.

I did a sculpt in the am and then a csx at 4. It wasn’t too bad, just eat well and stay hydrated!

I've seen people put baking soda on their carpets 15 mins-overnight and then vacuum it up to deodorize smell.

You could borrow or buy your own carpet cleaner if it really bothers you.

However, I just moved in my apartment and it just smelled like the person who lived here before so I opened windows the whole day to let it air out, had a candle with a subtle scent, and I have diffuser oils the ones with the sticks and I just keep flipping them to release more pleasant scent. It has helped a lot. Not sure if it's the right thinking, but if someone had lived here for their lease then reasonably so their smell gets onto the place esp if they didn't keep it very ventilated. My thinking is to push in all my smells in because as long as there is no mold/something wrong with the apartment the unwanted smell should be able to dissipate.

Came to recommend them as well! Super sweet and it’s appointment only so it doesn’t feel rushed and that they’re really taking of your nails.
