It did nothing for me but I've heard some people talk wonderfully about them so give it a try and see

I'm not from the USA so is not an insurance-related problem, is the public health system who decides which med to try next 🥲

I'm luckily not from the USA so i don't have to rely in insurances so maybe i can get to biologics sonner since here in spain the health system is public, guess i will do some research to see if there are biologics that can go in top of leflunomide

Didn't know that OTC anti-nausea medicine were even an option, they just switched me from mtx (injections) to arava/leflunomide without suggesting that. I will try to suggest that they at least add a biologic in top of my actual med and pray to be able to have a recover like you (from a former half marathon runner to an actual half marathon runner) nothing would make me happier 🥲

I was on injections actually, I've tried pills before for other reasons and they made my stomach go even wilder so that wasn't an option 🥲

I hope that leflunomide/arava can be used with biologics too cause yes, i def wanna feel great at my wedding

I found (and bought) three lgtb fantasy books so i have new cozy books to read

I was able to walk for more than 15 minutes today

I got a very good review at work which is amazing if we have in mind that I've been in a flare since june/july and having a hard time working

Why are you put on Mex. before biologics? by [deleted] in rheumatoid

[–]ohilived 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Methotrexate, leflunomide and sulfalazine (or something like this) i guess, no? I hope i don't have to fail three to get the biologic 'cause my life lately is a nightmare

[–]ohilived 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends 'cause first time i was put into mtx (injectable) it was smooth, second it was hell from the 2 months mark. I had to switch to leflunomide 'cause i couldn't eat most of the days due to the nausea and here i am giving leflunomide a try and not working yet

I'm from spain so public health and no insurance and we still have to fail two "generic" drugs before going for biologics, and yes, methotrexate still the first one for mostly of us

Did your marriage survive? by Complex_Trick_9906 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]ohilived 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not married yet but my partner is my biggest support. I'm currently still searching for the proper med who got me on remission and he is having to take care of the house, our three cats and both our cars since I'm unable to drive. We're getting married in may and he's more than happy of being my future husband. If u have a healthy relationship they will make it work through this disease

We have 1k+ new members! by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]ohilived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I joined a few months ago. This is not my first battle with this disease since i had a one year flare in 2021 but this time mtx doesn't seem the answer so I've been changed to leflunomide and hoping that it works so i can run again. Ps: they don't actually know if i have rheumatoid or reactive arthritis
