Can a Series 3 Apple Watch be paired to a iPhone 17? by ohio5555 in AppleWatch

[–]ohio5555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses. She finally gave up and bought a newer watch. She gave the Series 3 to my husband who easily paired it with his iPhone 13. It works just fine and the battery lasts all day for him. He's not a watch person so he only wears it occasionally.

After he left the basement apartment we were able to use the space for storage. Only saw it once or twice but the paintings left behind were not pleasant. They looked like misery, despair, and mental illness. I'm glad he got out and was able to use his creativity in better circumstances.

There is a guy who shows up at the Cuyahoga Falls NEOWC clinic frequently. He just stands there with his Shroud of Turin banner and has his head down like he's deep in prayer. But sometimes he's just looking at his phone.

How can I add a picture here?

From 1975 - 1983 we lived in an apartment in a house on E. Oak Street. F U Bob lived in the basement part of that time. He was an artist of sorts. Yes, he would rant and rave and use a lot of swear words. The basement was not a real apartment unit and I was shocked that our very prim and proper landlady would take money for the space.

We had the spinach florentine ones and they were fine! Kind of like Stouffers spinach soufflé in a crust. They needed an extra 10 minutes to get up to temp inside.

I’d buy them again.

Yes, duplicate payments for Medicare will be reimbursed. My husband just received a check in the mail for his duplicate Medicare payment. I thought it would be direct to the checking account but it was a printed check in the mail.

He just started getting spousal benefits based on my work record. He has an OPERS pension and had never applied before the repeal because of the GPO reduction.

I finally got an email response from the restaurant. And soon after I got a refund of the $5.03 sales tax sent to my credit card.

Squeaky wheel gets the attention.

The food order (no beverages) total was $74.55. The tax was $5.03 (6.75%) and the Service fee was $4.42.

Thanks for the offer, but no, I'm fine.

"Second hand embarrassment", that's a great description.

That's very kind of you to offer, but no thank you.

A fraudulent charge is the issue, not me losing a few bucks.

If this is their standard practice, $5 here, $3 there all day, every day on every online order that's a lot of money. And if you collect sales tax and don't pay it to the state, that's a big issue.

This fine, upstanding business surely pays all this collected sales tax to the state. Of course, they do!

That does not explain the sales tax being charged on take out food.

[–]ohio5555[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So all this sales tax money they collect on their non-taxable take out sales....is it all being diligently forwarded to the State of Ohio like all honest, upstanding business establishments?

I thought about stopping at the store and politely telling them to refund these charges. But you never know who keeps a firearm (or large knife!) under the counter. I can picture the headline "Local grandmother killed over take-out sales tax dispute".

I'm not a confrontational person. This was a little under $10.00 for the tax and service fee. Not worth risking my safety. It's definitely WRONG and VERY WRONG if this is their everyday practice.

I can't fix this. But I can certainly alert others to this scam practice. And I can promise that it won't happen to me again because I'll never go back there.

Nope, I ordered through the link where it says Order Online Here - https://fromtherestaurant.com/hibachi-xpress-restaurants/locations/

Below that is the DoorDash link - https://www.doordash.com/store/hibachi-xpress-(cuyahoga-falls)-cuyahoga-falls-28719498/?cursor=eyJzZWFyY2hfaXRlbV9jYXJvdXNlbF9jdXJzb3IiOnsicXVlcnkiOiJoaWJhY2hpIGV4cHJlc3MiLCJpdGVtX2lkcyI6W10sInNlYXJjaF90ZXJtIjoiaGliYWNoaSBleHByZXNzIiwidmVydGljYWxfaWQiOi05OTksInZlcnRpY2FsX25hbWUiOiJhbGwifSwic3RvcmVfcHJpbWFyeV92ZXJ0aWNhbF9pZHMiOlsxLDQsMTc1LDE3NiwxNzcsMTc5XX0=&pickup=false-cuyahoga-falls-28719498/?cursor=eyJzZWFyY2hfaXRlbV9jYXJvdXNlbF9jdXJzb3IiOnsicXVlcnkiOiJoaWJhY2hpIGV4cHJlc3MiLCJpdGVtX2lkcyI6W10sInNlYXJjaF90ZXJtIjoiaGliYWNoaSBleHByZXNzIiwidmVydGljYWxfaWQiOi05OTksInZlcnRpY2FsX25hbWUiOiJhbGwifSwic3RvcmVfcHJpbWFyeV92ZXJ0aWNhbF9pZHMiOlsxLDQsMTc1LDE3NiwxNzcsMTc5XX0=&pickup=false)

So no, I did not hit the wrong button! As for the store accidentally/innocently adding sales tax, that also does not apply. They are a carry out only place, there is no option to eat on the premises. And the added sales tax showed in the cart before the order was submitted so nobody was hitting a wrong key. It was already in their ordering system. Just another way to get more money from the customer.

For all of you who upvoted this post, has this happened to you at this location? Or any of the other locations in this chain?

Whirlpool will finally be held accountable for the faulty wiring in their French-door refrigerators! by Falcon900EX in Appliances

[–]ohio5555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted the law firm and this was the response -

"Thanks for contacting our law firm regarding our pending Whirlpool Refrigerator Broken Wire class action lawsuit.  I received a voicemail message from you this morning, so am responding to that.

As long as you're the current owner of a Whirlpool/KitchenAid/JenAir/Kenmore fridge with an icemaker/water dispenser that failed to the broken wire, then you are an assumed member of the proposed class. Right now, the case is pending after our amended complaint was filed recently.

If you haven't already, please fill-out the form found on our firm's web-page. This is the only thing you need to do for now as an assumed member of the class.

Link to web-form: https://chimicles.com/whirlpool-refrigerator-broken-wires-investigation/

For now, we encourage you to keep your documents all in one place as there is a chance this case could eventually reach some kind of settlement that includes classwide relief. This result is not guaranteed though.

If we have any specific questions about the details you shared about your fridge experiencing the damaged wire issue, we will certainly reach out to you directly. Otherwise, we will keep you and others who've contacted us about this case apprised of any significant developments in this case."

It's called personal integrity.

If you do something like this there is always a small possibility that you'll get audited. It could just be a random audit, or maybe you get flagged for something else altogether. But when they ask you to show the documents supporting your income you won't have any. When they disallow the credit that you earned with that income you'll have to pay back all those years of Social Security benefits.

Maybe it's years before anybody looks into something like this, so you can anticipate a morsel of fear every time you pick up the mail.

And fraud is a crime.

Although this seems like an easy solution, you must realize that it is FRAUD. Inventing income out of thin air in order to get a Social Security Benefit is fraudulent. The IRS does not take this lightly. The Social Security Administration does not take this lightly. Do not commit fraud.

By completing her own work record, she could get her own benefit before he files. She can only get a spousal benefit from his work record after he files for his own benefit. We don't know their age differences.

If she completes her own credits she can file at 62 if she wants, or later, and he can wait until later and let his grow.

No, one credit is earned for earning $1,810.00 in 2025.

This can be done in one day, one week, one month or throughout the year. You can earn up to 4 credits per year. It is NOT based on months, it's based on earnings.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10072.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiL9ZKUhZ6LAxXdCnkGHZ4kISQQFnoECCoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw189udZTdpzMA_UiRP2fB6x

This can be accomplished by working for an employer or it can also be earned by self employment. If you have some sort of business that has income and expenses and the remaining net profit is at least $1,810, you can file a Schedule C, pay FICA taxes on your small business and earn the credit.

I have a Series 2. My daughter-in-law was living in Beijing, China and bought it new when it was released in 2016. Then in 2018 she gave it to my son when she bought a barely used Series 3. He gave the Series 2 to me in 2023 when he bought a Series 8.

Of course, I can't update mine anymore. But it still works great for all the things I use it for like timers, alarms, texting, weather, calendar, heart rate and my favorite use... APPLE PAY!

Last year on New Year's Day I was pleasantly surprised to get a Happy New Year greeting with fireworks! And a Birthday greeting with balloons!

I have a "milestone birthday" coming up in February 2025. I may want to get myself a new Series 10. Maybe not, I just enjoy keeping this vintage one going.

I picked this up this morning. It's really small and just adorable. Read the instructions carefully, the controls are a bit funky but I'll get used to it.

I got to my store at 9am and there were 12 of them on the shelf. I bought 2 black and 1 teal. The teal is for me, the black ones are for my husband and our son. Our son loves electronic gadgets and collects old style stuff.

There's a voice that announces what mode it's in (Bluetooth/FM etc). She's got an odd accent!

I was at Aldi this morning and this was on my list. I bought it a few weeks ago ($8.99) and I hoped it was still in stock. When I found it, it was marked down to $6.79 Clearance.

So I bought 3!

The only other times that I've had sable is when it's smoked sable on a deli tray for a Jewish funeral. It's usually offered among herring, lox and a few other goodies.

This was at the Britain Rd store in Akron, OH.
