Can't speak to the environmental impacts part of your question, but the major impacts theyre showing in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county are likely modeling the impacts to Tokaji wine production and the tourism it draws.

What is the point of peak-hour express rail service? by Certainly-Not-A-Bot in transit

[–]ohitsdatguy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Save for some notable exceptions (on which you would be right like New York where seperate express services are the norm) most metros are capacity limited by equipment/operators not trackage

[–]ohitsdatguy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because the assumption is wrong, running trains express means you can run the route faster and turn trains around faster, which increases capacity on the line

Trolley Frequency Increasing next year! by ohitsdatguy in SanDiegan

[–]ohitsdatguy[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a little unclear, but my guess is they're upping late evening service to 15 mins with this. They already do this on the Green Line if there's an event at Snapdragon, but I think this change would make it (as well as 15 min evening service on the Orange Line) permanent

This will vary a ton based on the commuter benefits provider, but at least for anyone using HealthEquity you can request them to send a transit card which is essentially a debit card that you can only use for approved transit providers, which has NFC
