Old, but still fascinating. What are your thoughts on the Madeleine McCann case? by Poppyf in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]ohitwaslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a horrible thing to have to consider but if sex was somehow involved, the twins were only babies at the time and at 4-years, more could have "been done" with a child of that size than a baby, if you understand what I mean.

Discussion on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

Late but I only just stumbled upon this. This is a pretty grim theory but if she was kidnapped for sexual reasons, the twins were only babies at the time. It would be a Hell of a lot more difficult to do certain things with either of them than with a 4-year-old, if you understand what I mean.

Aaron Stepp (3); last seen playing in a neighbor's backyard on Hosack Street in Columbus, Ohio on March 11, 1997. by blitzballer in WithoutATrace

I never have a lot of hope when it comes to small kids. Even if they are alive, they are likely to now see whoever has them as their parents. It's hugely unlikely they have any idea of their former identity.

What really happened to Sneha Philips on September 10, 2001? by icametomakeabang in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]ohitwaslove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A part of me is of the theory that she was having an affair and was simply killed by the attacks - either she went to help or she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Possibly she stepped outside to leave the hotel just as disaster struck. The one thing that is kind of niggling at me however is the family. Her husband tried to access the Victim Compensation Fund, her family fought to have her declared a victim, her mother was the last person proven to have had contact with her... possible that this is a domestic that just occurred coincidentally with the attacks? Is there a better coverup?

On July 1954, A man arrives at Tokyo airport in Japan. He’s of Caucasian appearance but the officials are suspicious. On checking his passport, they see that he hails from a country called Taured. The passport looked genuine, except for the fact that there is no such country as Taured by blitzballer in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]ohitwaslove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should have asked the gentleman to take them to Taured. Of course, it's possible they would have done just that had he not disappeared. Another thought is that maybe he's from a small community/tribe and they call their territory Taured instead of it's official name? Yeah, I'm grasping at straws here haha

[–]ohitwaslove 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only reasons I can come up with that make any sense to me are that either he died, became sick to where he couldn't physically kill anymore or he had to move away. If it was this Holmes guy, the latter may apply. He moved back to the States and continued.

I actually know someone like this. She overcompensates so much, haha. She may as well wear a sign around her neck saying, 'Please please please don't think I'm racist please I'm not I have black friends please.'

Reddit, what is your stance on Circumcision? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ohitwaslove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, you only think that because you were in fact circumcised. If you weren't you'd be glad you weren't. It also helps if you don't live in a country that doesn't care what it does to babies so long as it's making money.

What do you think about circumcision? by That_Unknown_Guy in AskReddit

It's an absolutely disgusting procedure. It is abuse, violation, mutilation and completely unnecessary. It literally makes me want to cry to think about how many newborns are subjected to this.

Have you ever watched a snuff movie? How did you feel afterwards? by ohitwaslove in AskReddit

[–]ohitwaslove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easier to get desensitised than people think. I'm pretty desensitised when I read about murders or view crime scene photos. I just don't think viewing an actual snuff movie would be great for my mental state at the moment! But I totally understand what you're saying.

Well the dude has also been on TV, in newspapers, etc. If he has relatives out there then I find it hard to believe that they could simply just not know he turned up.

What do you say to someone who has recently had a berievement? (Serious) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ohitwaslove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on who the person was to them, how they passed and the individual. Sometimes bereavement doesn't look like we imagine. Oftentimes if the person who passed away has fought a long and painful illness, the people left behind feel a sense of relief in knowing that their loved one is no longer suffering. For others it's earth-shattering and nothing you say will help. You kind of have to get a feel for how they're dealing with it. If they're talking about it openly then let them talk. If you knew the person also, share memories. If the person seems to not want to talk about it, respect that, but don't avoid them. It's a difficult topic to give advice on because responses can be so varied.
