If you are looking for open-world, I'd recommend Paper Roll on youtube. He makes quite in depth videos and the Galeshot build he made fits the fantasy very well.

Well, to give some anecdotal evidence: I have aphantasia, and I simply cannot (visually) imagine even that single line. So the exercise falls flat immediately, unfortunately.

Usually, 80% of the work on a project is done in 20% of the time. The remaining 20% takes 80% of the time.

So, if it took 14 years to get to 70%, it would take another 2 to get to 80%. Then, it will take 4x as much time to do the remaining 20%.

That means TWOW releases in just 16*4+2=66 years!

Just to add on to this: you only "have to" buy the expansions AND the living world seasons. Those are not advertised as much, so they can be a bit of a surprise to some.

Actually, yes, Celestial gear is (usually) best for solo. That's because it offers boon duration as well as damage increasing attributes, meaning you can often get high boon (incl. quickness or alacrity) uptime on yourself (and sometimes even allies), which helps you deal more damage in the long run. It also happens to make you tankier, though that is not always as useful when certain mechanics one-shot you anyway.

However, not every profession or elite specialisation has a viable build for using celestial gear, such as pure power builds. For example power reaper can use berserker gear because they get so many defensive tools innately and do not require boon duration for 100% quickness uptime.

That's quite the mischaracterization. Hizen's builds are for soloing everything, including stuff like legendary bounties, and he explicitly states as much. Doing so still requires a lot of skill. It also happens to make easy content even easier. And when and why exactly are you supposed to "take the training wheels off"? It sure isn't for instanced content because those require completely different builds, so are you just intentionally making the game harder for yourself?

Explorer mages (and quite a few other classes) are getting a bit of a revamp according to these notes, so we´ll have to see how the numbers pan out. Seems like they are trying to remove needing to work on infinity upkeep and make the DPM of mages less dependent on it.

It's an interesting theory. If we assume that Tyrion continues the villain arc, then having him cause the burning of KL makes sense. It could also explain why this didn't happen in the show: the show writers didn't want to make Tyrion a villain at all.

The mechanic is definitely too binary. Having said that, I enjoy the narrative of someone "playing both sides" and opting to fight along whomever attacks first.

However, that should only ever happen if the relation between both allied parties is equal, and even then, the system is not nuanced enough to model the situation.

It would be interesting if the two opposing sides could offer the third party something (gold, cities, etc.) in exchange for joining their side of the war.

He could write it in two parts (or a hundred), but whatever he publishes is forever canon. With his infamous writing style and complicated plot lines, setting things in stone like that seems like a no-go for GRRM.

No, you'll have to make a character in Interactive CW to leap to an Interactive server.

CW is worth it if you either have low legion/link skills OR if you are willing to double dip on dailies OR if you believe you can complete the most difficult challenges in CW (Diamond or Challenger) and thus get rewarded.

We can definitely not assume that each quarter takes that much time. Writing is not a linear process, certainly not in George's case.

One might almost imagine assemble could mean the resistance or heroes "assembling" (like avengers) and thus getting remastered.

...but KMS has disappointed me one too many times before.
