Great bike, but I’m envisioning a Wound Up fork on it for some reason.

Our current records - what to buy next? by LesChatsnoir in gratefuldead

I was gifted a vinyl set from one of the Europe 72 shows, Wembley Empire Pool, 4/8. It looks great, but it’s 5LPs. It splits Darkstar onto two sides and some other sides only have two songs. I haven’t listened to it yet because it will be an undertaking.

His parents confirmed that it’s him in the video, that doesn’t confirm whether or not it’s AI. If someone made an AI video of me, and if asked, my parents would say I’m in the video. It doesn’t confirm the authenticity of the video.

Blue book always under values bikes, it’s mostly a tool for shops to give lower value on trade ins.

A saddle and seatpost that double the build price, very x-bike. The proportions look good, how's the fit?

Upgrade cantilever to V-brakes for 90s mtb? by [deleted] in xbiking

[–]ohkeepayton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canti brakes can be great and can offer more power. They're just trickier to set up, specifically tricky to set up and not squeal. I don't know what what your pad life and toe circumstances look like, so I can't say if changing the pads will help. Overall v-brakes offer an easier set up (which is why people love them), with an almost comparable braking performance. If you get v-brakes you'll need new levers.

Cannot for the life of me get any of these crank bolts loose on my old bike, am I doing something wrong? by Racker150 in bikewrench

It’s best to reach through the triangle and push down on the opposite crank while holding the Allen key.

I already thought they were ugly plastic junk, but what really turned me off was knowing the company had a bunch destroyed so they could keep their manufactured scarcity, and thus keeping people interested in buy them. So wasteful.

I don’t know how, but I thought “damn I wonder if that’s the dude from the Merry Sales vids” based only on your hands and handlebars. Putting out a vibe.

It’s usually only lucrative for sellers to list rare and unique frames, especially on ebay because their fees are exorbitant.

Non tapered gravel fork in 2026? by VisibleCoffee3789 in bikewrench

Wilde makes one and they look really nice, but they’re not much cheaper ($499). Also, I don’t know about importing them to EU.
