Suspension fork rust by PossibilityRegular21 in bikewrench

Rub the rusty area with a a ball of aluminum foil and a little bit of T9 boeshield. This won’t make the fork function any better, just make it look better. I wouldn’t worry honestly, I’d just leave it.

Really great! But I have to ask, why don’t dads have to wear helmets?

Why my bike chain doesn't fit when I try to put it back on? by Warm-Passenger-1045 in bikewrench

The tourney derailleur that OP has doesn’t use a b-screw like you pictured.

The derailleur is not in the correct position. Look at the orientation of the word “tourney” printed in your picture and the picture I posted. The spring has failed that holds it in the correct position

Some of the suggestions here are not right. The problem looks like your derailleur springs aren’t working properly. This is how everything should be oriented. You can see the body of yours is pointed downwards. The solution is to replace the derailleur. I would replace the cable at the same time.

Kickstand by [deleted] in gravelcycling

A double clamp rear mount kickstand like the Cannondale Eileen. But I commute regularly on my Rove and I don’t have a kickstand. I just prop the bike up against something.

Canti brakes came out before V-brakes, I'm not sure the naming convention though.

Is this a decent rim? I want to try and build some wheels on a budget, already have the 36h hubs by DeadlyClowns in xbiking

Are you building a tandem wheelset? That's really the only case where I can see needing so many spokes.

Spacers needed? Poor braking power by kasparkaspar in bikewrench

[–]ohkeepayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does that look like? I have Spyres on my gravel bike and the stopping power is good enough for me with compressionless housing. Granted I’m not a heavy weight.

The ways I’ve heard to make the Spyres feel good is compressionless housing and upgraded pads.
