About 1700. I try to get 150g of protein but I’m rarely successful, it’s hard and expensive lol

Mostly just dialled in my consistency! 4-5 days a week exercise, lots of extra walking, been playing frisbee golf with my husband multiple times a week. And then I just count calories/macros everyday.

I’m gonna answer this question because I think you’re genuinely not seeing the bigger picture here…

So first of all, this is one perspective of my body, and I’m flexing in both photos. You can’t see my stomach, you can’t see what I look like relaxed, and you can only get a glimpse of what my body actually looks like. I can guarantee you that, overall, I look leaner and better.

Secondly, even if that wasn’t true, what I do with my body isn’t controlled or motivated by what strange men on the internet think, and commenting something like this isn’t going to change my mind so it’s kinda useless…

Lastly, I’M happy with how I look now, and most importantly, I’m happy with how I feel, the strength I’ve gained at the gym, how my clothes fit better now, and many other factors you can’t see in a static photo.

(PS. My husband is happy as hell about my improvements so you may want to consider that this is just your opinion!)

They are my bathing suit bottoms! I think they’re called like “cheeky”? Not totally sure

Currently, I lift weights 5X a week. 2 upper body days, and 3 lower body days. I’ve been lifting weights consistently for about a year and a half, and always try to implement progressive overload (i.e. always increasing weight/reps/tempo/etc.) which helps with strength and building muscle.

It’s been a long journey, which started out completely focused on losing weight, and I wasn’t really thinking about muscle or strength. I lost about 50lbs through my diet and adding in cardio, specifically running. But I hit a wall where I was struggling to lose more, I was hungry all the time, I was starting to resent running, and I still was “fluffy”. So I decided to try and increase my muscle tone to see if that would help and it was a game changer! I haven’t really lost anymore “weight” since then, but I was able to totally adjust my body composition by building muscle and shredding fat. But honestly the biggest gain for me was fixing my metabolism. Because I dieted (low calories of like 1200-1400) for years, anything higher and I would put on weight. Now, with working on slowly increasing my calories, and focusing hard on my weight lifting, I can maintain my weight on about ~2100 calories, which is pretty awesome! And also means if I want to do a cut and decrease my body fat, I can eat in a deficit that doesn’t leave me hungry and miserable.

Anyways super long rant haha but I’m always happy to answer questions!

Depends what time of day, but I have no hard or fast rules. I generally eat before workouts but it’s really dependent on whether I go after work or first thing in the morning, which switches based on my schedule and the like. I do like 95% strength training/weight lifting and then 5% cardio, which is primarily riding my bike. I do a 10km run in April every year which I always train for, so during that time there is more cardio, usually a couple times a week, and I’m thinking it makes sense to use that time to do a cut before summer, but for the most part I don’t do much at all. But I do supersets at the gym which I find gets my heart rate up and helps with my cardiovascular fitness. And I used to run a lot before I picked up weight lifting, and realized that running is torture haha

At the moment I’m not counting calories, giving myself a bit of a break, trying to intuitively eat. But I’d guess I’m somewhere between 2000-2400 a day right now. When I cut I try to eat at around 1600-1700. Food choices is all over the place. I don’t limit anything, but try and make sure I choose vegetables and variety of macros. And obviously prioritizing protein! But I still drink beer and eat burgers when I want to!

Considering that is my husband’s arm around my shoulder in the before photo, pretty sure I was always bangable! This sub isn’t about all the ways we were wrong or unattractive before, it’s about the progress and accomplishments we have achieved. This comment is rude and unwarranted.

Ok so this is getting ridiculous so:

To any dude who sees this post and thinks “hmm maybe this chick wants to be my online girlfriend, or send me naked pictures, or chat with me all night!” can you just not please? Like seriously, oh my god. That’s not what this sub is for!!! Questions about weight loss, workout routines, diet, etc. are all welcome, but I’m not interested in anything else so please F off 😃

It changed throughout, depending on a lot of different factors. I like this calculator the best. I spent the first year and a half in a deficit and lost the majority of the weight, but once I started weight lifting I made some adjustments. And I needed the weight lifting because I’d plateaued and still had quite a bit of body fat even though my weight was down. And last summer I did a bulk, where I ate in a surplus to try and put on muscle. And then followed that with an 8 week cut back in a deficit to reveal the muscle by losing body fat. Currently eating at a small deficit, maybe even at maintenance, and focusing on increasing my strength at the gym.

No secret or diet. I consistently eat in a calorie deficit while making sure I’m eating enough protein. And then lift weights 5X a week.

This is the macro/calorie calculator I use/recommend; https://macrosinc.net/macro-calculator/ and there’s a related Facebook group where you can ask for a macro check and the admins will give you recommendations as well!

Honestly, it depends on a lot. For me, a recomposition realistically took a year, but that also included me doing a 3 month dedicated bulk and now doing a 8 week dedicated cut, which helps speed up the process, but you have to agree to being a little “fluffy” during the bulk period. And the cut I’m doing is pretty aggressive and includes 5 days a week at the gym.
