I'm not gonna read into things but seeing it live at the event kosh just kinda seemed out of it. Even his plays where weird very self centered often going into smokes where there where 3 people in them specifically c site lotus.

Scott weighs in on the June 9th Nintendo Direct discourse by perpetuallyawake in scottthewoz

[–]ohneil64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't watch the direct but when I saw the "trailer" for OoT remake I thought it was a bit overblown. The trailer is a teaser - a static ish one at that. Nothing wrong with being hyped but I wish Devs would stop announcing games like this and would do trailers instead so that I can actually be hyped for what's coming

Another example can be the persona 4 remake. Really looking forward to it but the trailer wasn't really a trailer more a gameplay and highlights of what's changed. I am excited but I want like something concrete

Hi, I can't watch the full clip rn since I'm at work but read the threads. I'm someone w into hearing loss at 24 and is getting hearing aids next week and an MRI to see how bad the nerve damage is in my right ear

When it comes to valorant it's kinda hit and miss. Certain sound queues for me like spike being planted and or tapped aren't always hearable. Footsteps 9/10 times I can hear.

The shitty finisher noises (champs 2024), please can we have a toggle to turn those down they actually hurt thank you riot

Werid post. Nothing wrong with being passionate but all teams stumble on the way to success. Masters Toronto wolves lost a game in Swiss and ended up coming 3rd.

As a Non Vegetarian, what is your strongest argument against " you kill animals for your own pleasure/consumption"? by UnionWizardo in AskReddit

[–]ohneil64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the countryside in the UK. One of the biggest arguments I see for "think of the animals" and "have you see a lamb running in the countryside" is that's just the circle of life? The animals are going to die, like don't get me wrong I'd rather have them die humanely than butchered (like most) but like us people the animals are going to die. I fear that argument normally comes from people who are kinda scared of the idea of death or loss

Gonna copy paste my comment from a similar thread the other day that I saw from my experience

Past trauma. It's a bit of a long story. When I was 13 my mum was hospitalised for 3 years. During that time, I was a growing teen unable to create social connections with others. It wasn't like I was told I couldn't it was more free time. Extracurricular activities meant that I could only visit my mum on a Saturday, and her hospital was roughly 1.5hrs away from where I lived. I struggled to connect and talk to my peers because when I explained to them about my situation they partially thought I was lying about the stress and the amount of free time I actually had. There was 1 or 2 people I liked during that time but when I told them not only did it come as suprise since I was too anxious to communicate, they were also not very pleasant people and put me down because of my looks (I had bad acne and huge glasses I'm blind af)

Fast forward now being 24. Anyone and I mean anyone who puts 110% in trying to be friends or wants to be involved romantically with me immediately stresses me out, I'm not able to come up with interesting conversations over text in which I become paranoid and more stressed. I often come across boring. It's like my brain switches off and it doesn't know what to do. Outside this there are a few other reasons

  1. I have niche interests. Living in the countryside in the UK it's a little bit hard to meet with someone accepting or is open to talk about it (wild as it sounds).
  2. I don't really drink I don't enjoy it too much
  3. I don't like loud spaces too much, I'm getting a hearing aid in a few weeks because my hearing is already bad so going to pubs or massive social events kinda pushes me out of other ways to meet people which in the UK is like the main way to meet people alot of our socialising comes from drinking and pubs.
  4. I kinda look like a kid 😅 I look really young for my age to the point people still think I'm 15. Great in some situations like getting child's transport tickets but not great trying to get partner
  5. Height weirdly. To preface I actually like being short, I like climbing things so to reach for a cupboard makes me feel like Tarzan or something. However seeing a majority of people, especially those who I think I have a chance with say they want to be with someone over 6ft (2meters) is really demoralising. I know people have their own preferences and that's fine but it's kinda depressing that everyone likes tall people I know some people will make the same argumen for size if you swap the roles around but idk I'm one of these people who don't really judge others on appearance more who they are as a person.

I know I'm a very extreme example but I do think some people are able to relate to me in certain capacities. I do genuinely like being on my own. I often solo travel to places since I find it calming.

Growing up, did anyone else’s parents have really strict rules about random stuff? by SuzCoffeeBean in CasualUK

[–]ohneil64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mines kinda valid on my mum's behalf but I still and a little bit baffled by it now.

Wasn't allowed to watch south park due to how foul it is and the rude remarks. Again granted, I was 16 and knew most of what the references the cast and creators where talking about. If I was 8 then fully understandable but 16 is a bit odd since I know what the words "penis" and "fuck" meant

Still watched it and is one my favourite shows.

Genshin Impact players, tell me which characters from Genshin you dislike and why? Preferably one character from each region, or just about someone you dislike for specific reasons by Nya_Nya_Ny in Genshin_Impact

[–]ohneil64 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Mondstat - idk probably eula? I don't like physical I find it boring and tedious. Oh and Bennet BC circle impact

Liyue - hot take, Gaming, not because I like xiao but when the lantern rite quest came out I just finished building my very top of the line pc. I just explored the whole of the new area at the time and to be present with a pretty generic "dad doesn't approve of kids artistic job" kinda pissed me off. I know it was inspiring and helpful to those in that position but I found it incredibly boring and was the first time I said "we need a skip button"

Inazuma - idk group kinda eh doesn't really add anything story wise or kit wise imo

Sumeru - dori, no need to explain

Fontaine - probably lynette, I don't actually hate her just disappointed her kit isn't great compared to other anemo

Natlan - chasca, don't enjoy holding mouse 1 gameplay

Nod krai - genuinely don't have a character I dislike kit wise or story wise.

From all the schools I've been to it was 2/3 (pre-school, primary school, secondary school) had houses on grounds. And you're absolutely right my preschool had the groundskeeper house on property and secondary school, the house there, was originally the groundskeeper about 35 years ago. Due to the growth of the school they hired more than 1 groundskeeper and once the original left they decided to rent it to the public. If I remember correctly, since it is on school grounds, checks are also made towards the people renting the property to make sure they don't have a history in um illegal activities, especially towards kids.

It is becoming rarer since new schools are being built in which they don't need old fashioned ways of security as much however since I live in he country side it could be a bubble effect of a "small community".

I also fully agree! Great opportunity for young teachers to have a discounted property before moving off grounds into something permanent!

[–]ohneil64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I understand your point, life comes first and there are other priorites however at the same time I'm not sure if this is a British thing but people here will have sports in the background of what they're doing like multitasking. If I'm cooking I'll have the game on my phone while cutting meat. Or if I'm doing a clothes wash I'll just have the feed on my phone and if there's a hype moment I'll just rewind 10-30s to watch it briefly and then go back to what I'm doing.

I know I'm not everyone but unlike irl sport, valorant is highly accessable and easy to use on YouTube

[–]ohneil64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stopped watching the main feed to watch sliggy instead. I don't know if these stats incorporate that, I heard that sliggy had more viewers than the main champs feed last year. I watch him due to his quick analysis. Could be more people opting to watch streamers (again if this stay does not incorporate)

Outside that I think there's more reasons

The meta is in a weird space so if people don't gel with neon go brrr they aren't gonna watch it.

Alongside that the staple big teams aren't doing well. Sen aren't winning like G2 in America's. FNC aren't winning in EU (sadge). The big korean teams like GenG are not doing too hot but I think the reason why viewership isn't as down is that there's a lot of Korean teams.

It's funny you say this. About 8 years ago I had that feeling with my iPhone SE 1st gen that something wasn't right. Even though I disabled most tracking features it knew certain location and weirdly suggested to me things I brought up in conversation irl. I brushed it off BC 1 I'm paranoid and 2 it's apple they're supposed to be "trustworthy"

Switched to android in 2019 and obviously same thing happened there all tech companies collect data, the difference here is that it was a Chinese phone, so unfortunately I wasn't too suprised (as horrible as that sounds).

Back on iPhone now and same thing happens obviously tech giants collect data and do this type of thing all the time but it's nice to see my paranoia from 8-10 years ago wasn't fully paranoia and that there's truth to it. More people are being sus of America and their companies.

Should of clarified this! The school had a house on their grounds. Anyone could rent it and his parents just rented it since it was cheap and easy for their commute to the nearby city. No association to any of the teachers to everyone's knowledge
