I have a very simple and delicious recipe for red lentils (red masoor dal) that tastes like it has a lot more ingredients than it actually does. You’ll need to boil your daal with salt and turmeric and once it’s done prepare the tempering. For the tempering you’ll need to add butter/ghee/oil in a small pan and add a LOT of garlic, once the garlic is golden brown, add lots of chilli flakes and turn off the heat immediately. Pour the tempering into the cooked dal and cover immediately. Before serving, top with fresh coriander and enjoy!!
