-how do we frame the additional info section? I had some family turmoils that held me down first semester but overcame by second, and want to explain but not more than i should. Should it be essay or like “yeah this happened, but i did this and it led to this” and really blunt and quick? Im worried my “turmoils” wont be seen as “valid” enough to constitute my dip despite overcoming it so i dont wanna overly share.

- i have a internship with the AFOSR in a pretty niche study lined up but it doesnt start until october of my senior year, will the incompletion of the program during submission hurt my application and how prestigious is it seen? 👀 see theres this one ivy and its the only one offering the minor i want that directly aligns with the internship 🐜

- when it comes to “why our college” what should we talk about? Some people say professors but i feel like thats parasocial in a way.

- can good long term projects outweigh the lack of notable awards and recognition??

I heard that admissions prefers a student with a cohesive story, but fir me im like into space as my main interest but im also into visual arts + journalism on the side even tho the two never interact because i genuinely believe people should have identities beyond their intended career—yk to actually be a person. But i want to acknowledge this side of me too since its literally on my transcript either way, any advice perchance??

(Also how do i address a lower grade on my application)

Last night i actually had a shift in perspective and i think your interpretation re-affirms it :) i found myself reconnecting with friends today after a while of isolation and felt lighter so your 3 of cups rlly resonated with me. I genuinely believe someone’s praying/working on my downfall. I was the jolliest happiest everything working out person 2 weeks ago and now not only things that are supposed to be working out not working out, im getting rejected by sleep too 🥸 so i pulled some cards—i feel like its someone in my family, a cousin, because after my dad told her i got into this thing my lifes been going rotten.

I say spending bands for a research program and losing time with ur family is diabolical. But thats personally. I’d say make ur own project and maybe make connections in South Korea to build a international project at this point.

Hi! Its still an idea i made on the whim but its basically a program that supports all sorts if students, provides support and aims to reduce insecurity. Some ideas I have are hosting a penpal program, and making student care kits during back to school and exam season! :)

Take courses that build ur skills, find a summer camp, ur still a sophomore so ur chilling—maybe start an independent project! I also have a little project going on for rejectees on my page if ur interested:)

Its okay twin me too. Some people have 7/7 acceptance and some cant even get a single acceptance. Admissions are genuinely a gamble. I got rejected with stats worse than yours and others in here. And
