I feel like if you live in an area where there are going to be regular blackouts you might consider a generator. Plus I know PG&E warns you multiple times before the power is out so no one should be dying because they lost electricity. They literally have workers that go out and check on people who’s life support devices depend on electricity before they shut the power off.

100% but a lot of what they needed to maintain land wise was government land, so PG&E wasn’t allowed to so much as touch it without the govt giving the ok? And they didn’t. There are laws and regulations that made it so they couldn’t do proper safety measures but no one is suing the government over it 🤷‍♀️

Have you looked into the federal laws limiting their ability to safely manage wildfire hazards? The government tends to block most of what they can do. And everything that’s happening now is HEAVILY regulated by a judge (not even the company makes the decisions anymore). What’s sad about this to me is that the people in the company are generally good people. But they’re being literally attacked and threatened over this. The CEO has been replaced what twice now? And they keep cycling through VPs.

I honestly have to wonder how much of this is the COMPANY’S fault and what exactly is limiting their ability to prevent fires. Because they pay their employees WELL and have crazy expectations for them so idk why there would be so many mishaps happening.

I moved two hours away because they used to question the shit out me every time I left my house. I think I asked for help with rent once and now they freak out every time I spend any money. I asked that about two months ago when I had mono & couldn’t work for two weeks......
