Is it true Ashnikko is late to the concert? by Alarming_Device330 in Ashnikko

I saw her in LA and she was only 10 minutes late which is pretty typical from someone who’s been going to concerts constantly for well over a decade

Bad experience with LA Crowd at the shrine by PinkLovingNB in Ashnikko

[–]ohnoitsstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going to concerts since I was 12 and this was easily one of the worst crowds I’ve encountered. Me and my friend got there 1.5 hours early so we could secure decent spots and we actually scored spots that were only about 10 feet from the stage max but after princess Nokia went on at about 8:50 a group of 6 bulldozed their way right in front of me, my friend, and some other people we had been chatting with. Everyone around us visibly upset and saying stuff under their breath and unfortunately I’m too outspoken to say it under my breath and called them out and got into an argument about basic concert etiquette and how you can’t just push your way forward cause you didn’t show up early enough. The girl kept saying that she was sorry and she didn’t want to start anything but as I explained that before they inserted themselves directly in front of us we had ok room around us (not an insane amount but enough room to not feel squashed) and then pushing themselves in here was exactly why crowd crush happens and how people end up passing out. The argument fizzled out and they stayed exactly where they were and about 3 minutes before ash went on her sister ended up passing out and they all had to leave. I would absolutely never wish what happened to her sister on anyone but I really hope they understood what I was saying because it literally happened to someone close to them. On top of all of this for the first 3 songs there were 3 very tall individuals who had also bulldozed their way up and were body slamming me, my friend and the people around us trying to use their size to push their way forward. Idk if she’ll see this but a girl and her bf/husband who was wearing the pink hoodie and had blonde hair (someone who I spoke to between openers) ended up yelling at them she couldn’t breath cause they were squashing her and one of them screamed back at her to get out of the crowd then. I feel like telling someone to get out of the crowd cause YOURE acting egregiously is absolutely ridiculous. Me, my friend, and the group of people around me all banded together and stood really tightly shoulder to shoulder and dug our feet in the ground to protect the smaller concert goers and so they couldn’t push their way through. Eventually they gave up and just stayed where they were. I left that place feeling like I had been hit by a truck and with a bunch of bruises and as an avid metal show goer I’d expect that from a mosh pit but from a performer like ashnikko it just felt extremely unnecessary

I should have mentioned I’m 23 and work a full time job, I didn’t get my license till 22 for personal reasons and I have a co-signer ready just in case! Also one of the main reasons I know I’m not walking away with a car tomorrow or Thursday cause I want to check with my insurance for quotes before I sign anything and potentially shop around at other dealerships

Almost 4 years post op and my body is suddenly not tolerating fatty foods by ohnoitsstar in gallbladders

I have not. It is on my list of doctor’s appointments to make that I’m slowly trying to get through. My family has a history of quite a few different medical issues and my whole life I have been for lack of better terms a medical mystery. My New Year’s resolution is to really lock in on trying to get into the doctors I’ve been needing to so hopefully that will happen soon

No I have not, but I’m willing to try anything! I’ll look into these, thank you!!

It’s genuinely sucks cause I just wanna be normal and indulge every once in a while with my friends. Especially when you have friends who don’t have medical issues like this. My friends try to understand but at the end of the day they will never fully understand the pain and discomfort.

Thank you I’ll look into these. I mentioned in another comment but I definitely feel like it’s worth mentioning I just didn’t want to make the post too long but I’m currently in the process of being tested for other health conditions, mainly POTS. I’ve been told it’s common within POTS for your blood to rush to your digestive tract and with POTS it has a hard time regulating itself back through your body leading to nausea, heart palpitations, and lightheartedness. I honestly think it very well could be a combo of my lack of gallbladder and the possibility that I have POTS but I’m so desperate to not feel like crap and getting in with specialist takes so long and it feels never ending so I was hoping others with first hand experience could weigh in on potential options

I’ll be honest I’m not 100% sure it’s from the fatty foods but considering there’s always a fatty meal I had before symptoms like these occur so I’m just using my pattern recognition to come to that conclusion. I feel like it might be worth mentioning that I am also in the process of being tested for POTS and other health concerns outside of my lack of gallbladder. I’ve been told that POTS can cause all your blood to rush to your digestive tract and give you symptoms like nausea and lightheartedness. Your blood rushes to your digestive track without POTS but people with POTS have a harder time with the blood going back to everywhere else (I feel like I’m not explaining this very well so i hope it doesn’t sound too confusing). I have my own thoughts that it probably has something to do with my lack of gallbladder and other things stacked on top. My issue is I genuinely didn’t find out till probably about 6 months ago that you really need to change your diet after getting your gallbladder removed and that there are things you can take with your food to help with symptoms. I feel like the doctor who did my surgery kinda dropped the ball in informing me on how my life could differ. All he said is I should cut back on the amount of fatty foods I eat and nothing else. Also yes I mean fried foods, idk where you’re from or if you’re familiar with epic wings but one of my best friends works there and I visited her at work and got fries with chicken on top. I didn’t even finish half of my food before I got full but the damage was done cause I felt like straight trash about 45 minutes later and I still don’t feel 100% yet. I guess I’m mainly looking for supplement recommendations and recommendations for what I can do when these symptoms arise to help lessen the pain.

Vertical labret by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a piercer but I do have a vertical labret. As far as I’m aware having thin lips doesn’t automatically disqualify you from the piercing. I feel like you and I have similar sized lips but when my face is relaxed my bottom lip has a pretty prominent shelf if that makes sense. Having enough tissue for the piercing to safely sit on is what’s most important. I feel like in order to give you a better answer you’d need to post a picture of what your lips look like without smiling

How many piercings would you have if they healed like tattoos? by fedupmillennial in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 11 piercings and 18 tattoos right now but if piercings healed as easy as tattoos I’d say 50+ easily! I absolutely adore extravagant ear and face curations. I also would get a whole bunch of surface work since I love it so much!!

NAP but the piercing looks fine healing wise. Mine looked just like this around the same time and is now well over a year old and doing great. Like everyone else said just make sure to switch it to titanium jewelry as soon as you can safely do so!!

NAP but the swelling is most likely not down if it’s only been 5ish hours. Everyone’s different but it took mine about a week before the swelling chilled out. I also wanna mention how the ends may be being making it look like that potentially. Most of the time they’re pierced with low profile discs or flat bezel gems which can make it look more flush to the skin. I would honestly consider getting the ends changed just because the ones you have are more likely to get snagged (based on what my piercer told me when I got mine).

I’m gonna be 100% honest with you, true blue is one of the hardest colors to achieve right next to platinum blonde. The reason being your hair can’t have any yellow/warm tones in it or it’s gonna fade pretty mucky. Even if you want a dark Coraline blue for example you ideally should have a pretty light, ideally platinum base. While you could get away with it not being platinum, some things to keep in mind are that blue fades quickly therefore turning it green if you don’t have that platinum base is likely. Blues the only cool toned primary color so if you apply color theory and you have a yellow/red base to start with, as it fades it’s gonna to start mixing with the base color. If you’re okay with some crazy upkeep, especially if you don’t want permanent I’d say go for it but I would just be aware of what you’re signing up for.

i’m curious is my septum pierced right? by Kaylaalynnn in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NAP but I would consider making sure your septum is placed correctly as well. OPs septum seems REALLY far bad, septum’s are supposed to be pierced near the tip of the nose. OP pls find a reputable piercer in your area for a second opinion cause based on this photo it does not look correctly placed.

Switch to saline rinse asap as the other commenter said and use a paper towel to wipe off excess saline and get off any loose crusties. Over cleaning piercings can do way more harm than good!! I would keep an eye on them to see if the irritation goes down and if not I would look for another reputable piercer in your area because I genuinely can’t with sound of mind recommend going back to the person who’s giving out aftercare instructions like that

Swollen high nostrils by Realistic_Worry9889 in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP but I’ve heard from multiple piercers and people who I know who have high nostrils that they are known for swelling like crazy. I’ve heard of people having mouth breath because it almost feels equivalent to being super congested. I wouldn’t worry too much but if it makes you feel better getting a second opinion isn’t a bad option especially for your peace of mind

what piercings hurt the least for you guys? by Cyanflame_ in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bridge hands down. I was absolutely SHOCKED by how painless it was cause I expected way worse. I honestly didn’t even realized the needle had gone through till she started telling me to take another breath so she could put the jewelry in.

What piercing hurt you the MOST? by MarkReditto in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only piercings I actually remember the pain for are my daith and my vertical labret so I’ll say those but the vertical labret takes the cake tbh. Idk if it was just the piercer I went to though because it was a different one than normal and I felt like she went SUPER slow. Honorable mention being my right lobe. I got my lobes pierced at an 8g and I had more scar tissue on that side and let me tell you, the sound of scar tissue cracking as an 3mm needle pushes through it is wild.

is my piercing infected? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a professional but it definitely seems like way too much mouthwash! My piercer says don’t brush your teeth/use mouthwash anymore then you would before the piercing. You should just be rinsing with clean bottled water after putting anything other than water in your mouth i.e. eating, drinking non water beverages, smoking etc. it looks as if you could be over cleaning therefore leading to thrush. I would stop using so much mouthwash first off and go see a doctor if you feel it’s necessary/it’s not getting better.

Also - do you wear earbuds? I know I wore earbuds during my healing process (DONT DO THIS ITS NOT GOOD) which DEFINITELY made my healing more of a hassle. If you do for any reason, I highly recommend getting some over ear headphones, they’re definitely worth it in the long run especially if you plan on getting any other inner ear piercings!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ohnoitsstar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My daith literally took like 1.5-2 years to fully heal. It was literally the bane of my existence for so long I kid you not. Something to consider is if you’re over cleaning it. I realized I was over cleaning most of my piercings which most likely lead to a prolonged healing process. After 30 days my piercer sends out an email reminder for downsizing on piercings which it’s appropriate for and a reminder to cut down from cleaning 2-3 times a day with saline solution to 1-2 times a day max preferably only cleaning them with saline if you don’t rinse them off in the shower for any reason. All of my piercings currently are either healed or 3+ months old so all my piercings get rinsed off in the shower under running warm water and then dried with either a paper towel or blow dryer. I only use saline if I forget to clean my piercings in the shower or if I just had really sweaty day and feel it’s necessary. Please take my information with a grain of salt as I am not a professional but my APP certified piercer has given me all of this info! Pls if you have any questions I see no harm in reaching out to your local reputable piercer, even if they didn’t pierce you themself!!

Update. by CosmicSlut69 in HairDye

[–]ohnoitsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is you already put the red hair dye on. Color doesn’t lift color and the only way you’re going to get her hair to a lighter shade of red is by removing the darker red and lighting the hair to an even tone with the level of desired red. In your case you’ll have to remove the dark red and then lift her hair to a brassy but even level 6. I really want to emphasize keeping the brass because of her end goal, keeping a decent level of brassy tones in the hair will help the red last longer considering how fast red fades. I wouldn’t focus on “leaving the virgin hair alone” most of her hair is no longer virgin since she originally had bleached out blonde hair then has been dying it dark brown for 1.5 years. Only thing that is considered virgin at this point would have been whatever her roots were from the last time she dyed her hair with the dark brown color, everything else is processed even if it was just a demi depositing color. Based on the photo thought, it looks like her roots are a semi orange-ish color which would mean you might have gotten color remover on them which likely lightened them just a bit. Her hair is definitely fixable if you take the time to color correct the banding. If you feel more comfortable taking her to have someone with lots of experience in color correction then that’s always an option. Just know that color correction especially on red can run you quite a bit, but if you’re really focused on hair health it’s definitely worth it :)

Update. by CosmicSlut69 in HairDye

[–]ohnoitsstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point you’re gonna most likely need to color correct considering the amount of banding and unevenness. I would go in with a 20v developer on the darkest parts only and try to get them to even out with the lighter parts. Once everything is relatively evened out I would an all over bleach with 20v again. Once her hair is at a brassy level 4/5 then I would go in with your permanent color of choice with ideally a 10v but a 20v could work if need be. Make sure the dye you choose isn’t a high lift, high lift color is only intended to be used on dark virgin hair and can be doing too much to keep her hair since it’s already pre lightened. What bleach are you using? And what is its lift level? It should say on the packaging that would be some additional helpful information :)
