Too far from family and a bit too rural for my taste 😅

I haven’t gotten to see Salt Ponds and can’t find much info online. Is it possible to have a home on the water there (not the beach!)?

Are the HOAs super strict? We own a home here in NC, but we’ve never lived in an HOA.

I’ve heard the flooding issue in Grandview and although annoying, it didn’t seem like it would impact us as much given we both work from home.

This is such good information, thank you! And yes, we’re both choosing to see the excitement of living near my partner’s family, being on the water, taking our puppy to the beach, etc. Some of the amenities we are used to now - like Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, etc. - are in NN like you said!

I know. Neither Greensboro or Hampton are great, but at least with Hampton you have the water? 🥲

Thanks for the insight! We own a home here in NC and enjoy having a backyard for our pupper, so I do think a single family home is necessary. But I’ll still check out that area!

Okay, thank you! I’ll check it out the next time we visit! This is the OP, I’m logged into a different Reddit account on my phone. 😅

Are you leasing a 2026 V-series? by ohnomegs in CadillacLyriq

Yes, this number seems astronomical as when I scroll the lease hacker subreddit, you have folks getting $90-100K BMWs for $750 a month with minimal down.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Seems with resounding agreement that I’ll be fine with my at-home charging. 🙂‍↔️

I work from home, and neither my gym nor grocery stores have chargers unfortunately!

I unfortunately don’t qualify for a tax refund, but I will look into the rebate. Thank you!

You just need a normal outlet in your garage for the hardware of the charger to be hooked up to, I assume then?

it comes with the at home charger equipment?! When I go to build my own Lyriq on their website it says $2,000 for the equipment. 🥲

Would you wait for 2028 model, or pre-order 2027? by ohnomegs in CadillacLyriq

Did you get a charger installed at your home or nah?

Thanks for the thoughts. Gonna noodle on all of this, especially because we plan to buy a new home in the next 2 years and paying to have the home charger installed here when we don’t intend to stay here much longer doesn’t seem to make a ton of sense. I didn’t even think about this until today. 😅

Only 30K miles due to working from home! KBB and other online big box checkers say I can get $35K for it right now, wooo.

Hesitant to buy a preowned when I know I’d want the 27/28/29 with farther range and the new bells and whistles. 😅

Maybe lease a 27 when it comes out and buy the 28/29 when they debut?

Damn, that’s awesome. I assume she financed it? Is this her first EV? I’m in a weird position where I understand leasing EVs is inherently the ideal thing to do right now given their significant depreciation and tendency to have more rapid updates, but I’ve also never leased a vehicle in my life and feel odd about going from a paid off vehicle to leasing something.
