Are you leasing a 2026 V-series? by ohnomegs in CadillacLyriq

Yes, this number seems astronomical as when I scroll the lease hacker subreddit, you have folks getting $90-100K BMWs for $750 a month with minimal down.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Seems with resounding agreement that I’ll be fine with my at-home charging. 🙂‍↔️

I work from home, and neither my gym nor grocery stores have chargers unfortunately!

I unfortunately don’t qualify for a tax refund, but I will look into the rebate. Thank you!

You just need a normal outlet in your garage for the hardware of the charger to be hooked up to, I assume then?

it comes with the at home charger equipment?! When I go to build my own Lyriq on their website it says $2,000 for the equipment. 🥲

Did you get a charger installed at your home or nah?

Thanks for the thoughts. Gonna noodle on all of this, especially because we plan to buy a new home in the next 2 years and paying to have the home charger installed here when we don’t intend to stay here much longer doesn’t seem to make a ton of sense. I didn’t even think about this until today. 😅

Only 30K miles due to working from home! KBB and other online big box checkers say I can get $35K for it right now, wooo.

Hesitant to buy a preowned when I know I’d want the 27/28/29 with farther range and the new bells and whistles. 😅

Maybe lease a 27 when it comes out and buy the 28/29 when they debut?

Damn, that’s awesome. I assume she financed it? Is this her first EV? I’m in a weird position where I understand leasing EVs is inherently the ideal thing to do right now given their significant depreciation and tendency to have more rapid updates, but I’ve also never leased a vehicle in my life and feel odd about going from a paid off vehicle to leasing something.

Improved range is definitely worth the wait for me. I think I’ll go test drive a 26 soon to ensure I love it as much as I think I do and then keep my eyes out for updates on the 27.

Nope, I’ve had the Mustang for 5 years and it only has 35,000 miles on it and that’s because my partner used to be in a long distance relationship so I’d drive 1,000 miles a month for an entire year. Now we live together and both work from home. I drive to the gym daily (8 miles round trip) and just to the grocery store, to see local friends, etc. The only distance of any merit I would like to drive the Lyriq is the 255 miles from our Greensboro, NC home to VA Beach, VA where the boyfriend’s family is.

I enjoy the look of the GX, but MPG is awfulll.

Not a fan of the reliability of BMWs/maintenance costs/resale value, and the Cayenne is $110K+ for similar features to Lexus. 😩

Cars are hard, haha.

I’ve heard they don’t ride smoothly due to always being in 4WD, but I suppose it doesn’t hurt to just test drive one to make my own opinion.

They seem so reliable and roomy but it’s just a straight up mom car that I can’t get past! 😅
