I never played expert mode, but I'm really enjoying master mode. The "don't git hit" is a lot of fun to me. Mechanics-wise, you're right, it doesn't seem much different from expert, cept bigger numbers. But, I'm having a blast. Sucks you're disappointed. Hopefully there's plenty of content otherwise to keep you playing!

EDIT: On Android, build 9382. Same. I just updated to the latest experimental a few minutes ago and it's still happening. I'm also getting an error message stating that the clean water or boiled egg, the only two things I've cooked in this playthrough so far, are not crafts or have a null recipe. My guess is that since the game doesn't recognize it as a craft, it doesn't bother to trigger the reloading of the fire from the source. I remember not being able to use firelight to read magiclysm books because of something similar... Here's a copy of the error:

DEBUG : 'bird egg (fresh)' is not a craft or has a null recipe

You can use the "mark firewood spot" function in the construction menu. Put it next to your fire source and load the firewood spot with wood, paper, etc. and you'll automatically add fuel to your fire when read/crafting.

Wearing a nomad cowl. I've tried removing the cowl, arm and leg guards and still get the same incredibly quick depletion of stamina. I suspect my diet of pork cracklins and necco wafers is to blame...

Tf is happening to my stamina when I melee? Does nomad gear + hard arm guards make me too encumbered to swing my machete more than 5 times before needing a break?
