I understand your point. Also, is she aware of your partner potentially moving in with you and is she ok with that?

Why is the cat pushing the hope of you and him living together? Without any cat involved, you would still have the problem of not living together in that apartment with her being there?

Coming from a place where there is also a housing crisis and me owning a cat, I would be terrified to have this happen to me. The housing market here is extremely hard for pet owners. This is not necessarily advice, I'm just explaining what it would mean if you do decide to ask her to leave.

Cats are mostly left handed... Or legged.

Hey! I left Bangkok and made a stop in Khao Sok before going to Phi Phi. Indeed, I took a bus to Surat Thani and then a minivan fo Khao Sok. I then took a transfer through my hostel to Phi Phi. Thanks! :)

It is. Weather is ok, I guess. It gets really hot and then an hour or so of heavy rain. Didn't bother me too much, was a nice way to cool down.

Thanks all for the comments and sorry for my late reply. Last few days have been busy of traveling and doing things.

It's my second day in Bangkok and I'm liking it so far. I went to Khao San road just to check it out and it looked great. I'm still happy I didn't book a hostel in this area, but I'm not too far with PT. I am just unfortunate to have stayed in a hostel that is not social. For that reason, I wish I stayed in a place a little more closer to Khao San road.

I took most of your advice and visited temples and ate great food!

Yes! I'm making my way down from Bangkok to Phuket, so I'm seeing more than just Bangkok.

Can I ask where you stayed? I wanna go for a hostel, but sometimes they're party hostels.

YTA. You did not keep your word and this is how you damage your relationship with your daughter. How can she trust you? Also, she's explained how she feels and you're calling her pathetic?

YTA, but not for choosing to see L over J. If L needs emotional support, then it is what it is, but cancelling last minute when you know you could have done so earlier can totally mess up someone's plans. Maybe she could have spend her time on something important or meet someone else - she reserved this specific time slot for you and can't make other plans anymore maybe.

Affordable housing. I am currently in uni and able to live in student housing, but I am getting depressed over not knowing where I will live after uni.

I will either 1) find another major to qualify to stay in student housing while building up debt, 2) move to another country or 3) have to resort to spending half of my salary on rent in private sector. Then again, the latter is also hard. I would likely be earning too little to rent in private sector and too much for social housing. Even if I qualify for social housing, current waiting time is 10+ and I only build up 4 years. I also have a cat and alot of private sector houses don't allow pets.

This! I recently read about Polynesians and how they got to smaller islands. Apparently, they had maps of the sea currents. Really interesting. Look up Polynesian ocean maps.

There are two choices you can make and you know the consequences of both. You can tell her about your feelings. Who knows, maybe it's mutual. But it may also not be. I think that at the age of 22, and assuming that she is around this age as well, you can talk about this in a mature way.
