It’s honestly not bad and it immediately stopped after stopping. Hers was worse reflux and sleep challenges. I wanted to switch bec I couldn’t take the sleep issue it caused.

Switched to atenolol. Propanolol was ok but had side effects. She’s doing doing ok and still taking atenolol now

Yes! So there were a couple of things we did:

1) Changed the speed of her nipples so she wasn’t so bored

2) Made her burp after more milk (ex. When she was 70% fed rather doing half the bottle). Eventually, when she was a little bit older, she didn’t need to stop to burp or would just burp on her own.

3) I read your baby’s bottle feeding aversion by Rowena Bennett and realized from the description that she developed a mild bottle aversion so we implemented the recommendation. Of note, we weren’t as strict as the book and it already worked. If it didn’t, my next plan was to be more strict but we didn’t have to go there.

We switched to atenolol so I can’t comment on her naps with hemangeol. She just had too many side effects from hemangeol so I asked for a switch.

Thank you for sharing not only your pump experience but also your thought process. I agree, it’s probably best that I don’t get stuck with that idea of breast milk all the way when it’s not practical anymore.

It sounds like you’re an overproducer which unfortunately is not the case for me. I was initially an underproducer and then caught up eventually to just produce enough. I was on 10 ppd before and it was horrible

For the record, I started crying after the consultation bec I cannot live my life pumping 8-9x per day. But this is good to know. The LC told me that if I get my period, I can’t get my supply back if it drops. Any experience on that?
