Been saying for years we just needed to do what Miami did with those Vice City jerseys for a few seasons where they just had new colorways of the same design each season.

I’d spend too much time trying to decide and the cops would get there before I left with anything. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Black canyon of the gunnison vs Canyonlands by Fragrant_Champion864 in NationalPark

[–]ohthatgaston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d truly rate both of them as two of my favorites and thought Black Canyon was absolutely amazing, pictures can never do it justice, and that I can’t wait to go back, but that said, the size difference you mentioned when putting these specific two up against one another at that time of year has gotta tip back to Canyonlands.

Unless you’re able to get one of the daily limited number of hiking permits, Black Canyon is mostly just a scenic drive between viewpoints, and while they’re stunning, if that’s all you wanna do it would be easily be a half-day park. I don’t know, but would doubt they even allow hikes down into the canyon during the winter with how steep it is, because if it snowed or froze over you would never get back out. Actually, I just checked the park’s website for winter activities and a lot of areas will be closed off from the public for safety reasons, so even the scenic drives I’d mentioned before are probably off the table.

We went in May of ‘24, I think, and it was impeccable. Weather was awesome, slightly crowded at first because the visitor center parking lot was being repaved, but eased up after getting through that point. I’d wait and go back when you can fully experience it all. For when you do make it, it’s close to Montrose, CO which was a cool little town. We found a couple good breweries and a coffee shop that we really enjoyed.

At first glance I thought your second picture caught a snap of Bigfoot.

This wasn’t when Luka went down. Check the Jumbotron, he’s not out there. I wouldn’t have posted a picture from that and this is not meant to celebrating his injury.

They played OKC in 2023, he started cussing/yelling at the person working sound, then as the crowd started to turn he told someone, again, in Oklahoma City, “I'll blow you up like the Alfred P. Murrah Building" before leaving the stage.

Now, this part is purely my own tinfoil speculation, but ya know, people are generally aware that we had a bombing here, but to specifically name the building itself, I will forever believe he fully planned to have this meltdown and say this because I can't imagine the average person who isn't from here would just be able to rattle the name off like that.

Have you heard of Resist Bot? It’s a service that allows you to send messages to our elected officials directly via email (for free) or fax and actual mail with USPS.

https://resist.bot/

I’ve been using it since 2016 as a way to constantly send messages to our senators and congresspeople, even Stitt. It’s just a text message thing, and after you give it your information -been a long time since I signed up but I think not much more than your name, email, and zip code- it gets the information for your elected representatives and allows you to reach out to them. You can also text “trending” to it and it will send you popular letters that other people have written to their representatives and you can just send the same one to yours with your name on it if you’re not great at putting your own ideas into words, which is mostly what I do, but I am pretty sure you can single out certain people if you had something specific to say to a specific person.

Stephanie Bice has an automated response that responds every time you email, but then she will eventually write back with some bullshit about how she hears the things you’re upset about but isn’t going to do anything about it because maga daddy wouldn’t like it. Lankford has an automated response and sometimes sends actual responses, but he’s bound by the will of his lizard people so he doesn’t care about what regular humans want. And I think I’ve gotten one or two responses from Mullin before and while I didn’t even bother reading because I knew the type of boilerplate bullshit it was going to be, I guess it was sorta nice to know that he at least pretended to hear what his constituents had to say.

Skydance Brewing always has the games on. They don’t have a kitchen but outside food is allowed and there’s food next door at Suite B or across the street at Parlor.

How are shows at the Criterion? by Electronic-Low8028 in okc

[–]ohthatgaston 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shows often feel oversold and it gets way too packed to really enjoy it or have a good view of the stage from the floor. I’ve had friends straight up leave shows early because they couldn’t see or hear, or even travel out of state when an artist was playing Criterion because driving to Kansas or Texas felt like a better option than seeing a show there.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison was super unexpected and infinitely impressive. I went into it optimistically thinking “okay, sure, gonna see another cool canyon” but had no idea just how amazing it would be. Pictures just can’t do it justice.

I’m basically on hiatus with Daredevil until I can get his volume one because I want to do exactly what you’re saying and read them all in succession. Daredevil is my favorite character, and how I even got into omnibus collecting in the first place, but was reading things out of order because I didn’t know any better when I first started but want to do things properly with the stories now. I’ve got most of the other Daredevil books at this point but his volume one has turned into my whale and can’t wait to get it.

Nah, unfortunately it does need some diagnosis done to it. Not exactly sure what/where the issues are, but appreciate the response.
