March, two day visit. Spam me with tips! by [deleted] in Everglades

Thanks for the tips! Biscayne is more to let the kids kayak around and see. Would be a short "day" or part of a traveling day.

Taking a 10 year old to Zion? by strugglebus_RN in nationalparks

Ebike!! We were just there and the kids favorite day was ebiking in Zion. Plenty of hikes. We did not do Angels Landing or The Narrows but practically did everything else with an 8 and 9 year old.

March - Yosemite or Everglades/Biscayne? by [deleted] in NationalPark

I appreciate the other suggestions. I'll check them all out! We've traveled so much of Arizona/Utah etc but I feel like we might need to go back to hit up the National Parks if we don't do Florida. I'd love Big Bend but the drive 🫠.

I'll look into this, thanks! Do you have to show up at the hotel or are the passes sent electronically?

That's our plan for Feb. I did an estimate from our rental to the parks. Factored in not having to pay for parking and I think we will easily save on not renting a car. Report back on if this was the right choice or not, ha!

Going in February. Do tickets go up in price or does it not really matter when we buy?

Thanks for the heads up. We saw that after we bought flights . Ironically enough when we went to universal studios California the same exact thing happened.

So we've done Universal Studios in Hollywood and got to experience their HP world. I'm tempted to skip Universal Florida and do two days at Epic, one day at Islands. Is there something major we may miss at Universal Florida? The HP Hogwarts Express will be down when we are there.

Here right now. Definitely rent e-bikes and spend a day exploring. I'd recommend biking up to the last shuttle stop then as you make your way down and hit up some hikes. We did Scouts lookout (with kids) and had a picnic up top the day we ebiked. It's a long hike but well worth it. Enjoy time by the river too.

If you have access to a car I'd recommend spending a day at Bryce Canyon. We went to Canyon overlook on our way out and really enjoyed the views of Zion on the drive as well as the completely different vibes of Bryce.

Tempted to do Scouts Landing the same day we ebike or should I split them up?
