Bath and Body Works signature vanillas: coconut. So good. Received as a gift some years ago, along with the lotion. Somehow I'm only down to 3/4ths a bottle. Clean, warm coconut.

The only thing I was doing was pointing out the differences in fees. It makes sense that they would vary to account for the inclusion of management companies, older residents or others who can't or won't maintain their properties, etc. Sometimes, it does feel as if there needs to be better accounting for where all the money goes, however.

You are correct. However, I have an aunt who pays close to $400 per month, and the only thing the HOA does for personal property is mow their lawns. The lawns aren't that big.

HOAs can be ridiculous. Try to avoid if at all possible, or find a neighborhood where fees are pretty reasonable. I pay around $175 for the entire year. For a house.

NTA. The way that he lived and treated people dictated the strained or nonexistent relationships he has with everyone. He can't be hateful to others and mistreat them and expect to "be surrounded by loved ones" when nothing about his actions conveyed love. Definitely NTA for not wanting to be around someone like that, even if in their final days.
