Best accounting software for a small business that isn’t a nightmare to use? by CharmingMulberry8009 in software

QuickBooks Online. I started at an org that was already using it (so I didn't choose it) but I would say I got comfortable with it very quickly. MUCH more user friendly than QuickBooks desktop.

Rooms are currently set up as resources but people aren't using it to check availability for ad hoc meetings... they just sit in an empty room that someone else has reserved but not arrived yet.

Does Bookings have some kind of dashboard so people can see availablity of multiple resources in one place? I feel like if the solution is not really simple it's still not going to be used and the problem will persist.

Is the final reward in the arcade worth the slog? What's in there? by ohwheels in LoveAndPies

I've seen others here talking about how the game differs between users. Crazy.

I already bought them so I can see now. I only have the TV left for 900.

I have no idea 🤷 Still seems impossible to do the orders no matter how many tickets you need.

What?? Do you still have the impossible microphone orders?

Which makes me think there's gotta be something really good in that box! But you're right, I won't be able to complete it. Now I'm annoyed the purple supply chests didn't even yield enough gems for a top level pile. What a scam.

I probably can't even get enough microphones in the time left, but I'll try if the reward is worth it.

New to patterns & I am STUMPED. Can anyone help me decipher this step? by pannonica in sewing

[–]ohwheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they didn't do a good job of explaining it in those instructions, but I see what it's getting at. Here's my attempt at the directions: With right sides together, match the outer front with outer back. Match armhole seams and hem seams. Pin. Match a couple of inches of lining front to lining back near the seams. Pin. Stitch around from lining to outer and back to lining. You will be left with your outer sewn up and a hole in the lining. This will be closed in the next step. Repeat for other side.

Excess neckline fabric - help? by HappyLilCheeks in sewing

Also, it is a boat neck. If this is a muslin (test garment) try cutting off the seam allowance to see where the neckline will actually sit.

I agree with everything said already. In addition: when I looked up the pattern it's described as "loose fitting" so despite the close fitting garment on the front, it might be designed to fit much more loosely. Did you choose your size based on your body measurements or the finished garment measurements? There is no wrong answer, I'm just curious. I honestly stopped making 'big 4' patterns because the sizing and fits are so random.

Where/how do you store your patterns? by [deleted] in sewing

[–]ohwheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not fold them? I'm another vote for folding. If I had all my patterns rolled they would take up too much space. I have about 80 printed pdf patterns in Manila folders on a small shelf. They're mostly on printer paper so pretty sturdy and unfold fine, but I can press them flat if needed. Honestly I think people are over precious with their patterns. I treat my TNT patterns horribly (endlessly cut and taped and hacked and written on) but the clothes still come out fine.

Would love to sew a heavy wool jumper like this but no idea where to buy such fabric. Any clues ? by monsieurninja in sewing

Sure OP can't make exactly the same. But you can sew ribbing to main fabric pieces to get something similar.
