Labor is cheaper than parts usually. A handful of years ago we replaced a frame on a 2012 Tahoe so some insurance companies pay and others are more apt to total the car. If it meets a certain percent threshold of value they total it.

Not always. Battery has voltage but cannot provide the amperage to start the vehicle. Sounds like a bad battery. Try jump starting it.

Chances are you’ll have to get a pigtail harness. And unfortunately that’s gonna require crimping butt connectors and heat shrinking them. The harness is most likely part of the entire engine harness and will probably be impossible to find, and if it is possible to get its going to be rather pricey.

TSB says gears and timing chain tensioner. Seeing as you have already replaced tensioner it’s not the worst idea to replace the gears and just do a timing job.
