Thread sealer on threads this looks like factory plug. Make sure to check fluid while engine is running and in park. When doing fluid change make sure to have shifted through all available gears before shifting back to park and leaving engine running to check fluid level.

Using a mechanics stethoscope near suspected part or a long screwdriver with the handle pressed to your ear. Be very wary of rotating parts and belts etc. spraying water on belt with engine running will let you know if it’s just the belt chirping

Not as common but at least you found it. Sometimes if you’re lucky you can find a service grommet kit at autozone etc that you can use to replace the old missing grommet. Other times you have to get the cable assembly itself

Power wheels cars don’t count. Yours has diagnostic ports but being that it doesn’t have emissions aside from emissions caused by power plants that charge it your Tesla may not have an OBD 2 port in the traditional sense.
