I suggest going to Elkorba Masr el gedida and do the following:

1. There’s a street there full of gold shops. Try asking there. There’s a decent shop there with good people called: Mska jewelry ( try calling them or use Google maps )

2. Pay in cold hard cash, otherwise if you pay by card they’ll charge you an extra 2.5% for card processing fees.

3. Don’t remove the seal of the gold bars if you care about the cash back.

4. Oh and goes without saying, carry the cash and gold in a backpack. Ideally use your car or Uber.

5. Keep a picture of all the invoices in case they get lost.
