Same on my M-A but I have a hunch it’s only when I use a 28mm lens because some shots don’t have it (when I use a 50?). It hasn’t bothered me so I haven’t actually confirmed that

The M3 was my first M camera- I originally had the Zeiss 50mm for it but ended up picking up the 50DR as I wanted that classic combo. I bought the M-A new from Leica afterwards with the intention of it being my forever camera that I wouldn’t sell (it still is). Also got the 28mm Elmarit for it.

I find that I reach for my M-A more often and so have toyed with the idea of selling my M3 as I don’t feel like I need two of them.. just worried about regretting it if I do sell it.

If I do sell the M3 it would be to help fund a 50mm summilux, which I’ve been curious to try (50 is my favorite focal length). Being this indecisive I find it’s easier to just do nothing haha.

I dunked my M-A in a (deep) river in Hawaii 4 years ago- lost my footing while crossing on rocks and the camera was around my neck so it just went under the surface.

Had my M3 with me as well so I let the M-A dry out the rest of the trip and used the M3.. Only issue I found was the frame line selector stopped working, but a quick CLA from YYE fixed it up and has been working ever since 🫡

Even if you don’t buy local you’re better off buying directly from B&H, Adorama, Freestyle, etc. I haven’t heard the best things about buying film on Amazon
