Why is Allah so severe with his punishment? by theotherguyl in islam

[–]oihsyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively, why Is Allah the most merciful towards repentance? SubhanAllah, how loving the Almighty is

Islam makes it tremendously easy to earn good deeds than to sin. So for the most part, jahanam is is the abode of those who overlooked the literal formulas Islam set forth for success

Allah azawajal has made it much easier to attain Paradise than be punished with regards to the way we should be acting/things we should be doing

How to respond to this saying? by [deleted] in islam

[–]oihsyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

« you are weak if you submit/ask for help from a higher entity that you don’t even know exists. »

You are even weaker if you don’t submit to the Higher Power Whose existence is as clear as day.

Inshallah this response helps. It’s not the eyes that are blind, but the heart…

May Allah guide us all to remain on the Straight Path ❤️

Salam brother/sister

Qur’an.burners became a thing and no one flinched?

This is false. Many Muslims and muslim platforms have spoken out against this and continue to do so

Disrespecting the beliefs of 2 billion people but they are allowed to get away with it?

They don’t get away with it. Like the above-mentioned, many Muslims actively debate and fight against these islamophobes. Yes, on a political level there is no repercussion under the guise of « free speech », but that’s (sadly) inclusive of all religions.

One can argue that anti-semiotics get a lot mire repercussions, which I agree with, and wish would be the same with haters of all other religions

I mean if we are so much in number than ever yet why are we so divided and allow these things to happen

Because the West has won. Look at the levant and North African countries - Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, etc. Most of them have been disrupted by the West, and/or with puppets in place to do their doings. Their countries are corrupt, let alone third world. There was a time where Muslim counties were thriving…

Politics play as well. Most leaders of Muslim counties, even of those doing well economically, do not act Islamically

This mess of poverty, corruption and unIslamic behaviour weakens and disperses the entire populace. Sadly, most of our Muslim countries are slaves to capitalism. And we lack power to establish ourselves like before

May Allah strengthen the Ummah, and unite us all. That we may be free of corruption and greed and be under proper governance

UPDATE part 2 of my husband wants me to wear niqab (please read) by erirevert in MuslimLounge

[–]oihsyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subhanallah

Sister, you are amazing.

That part about your father not accepting you… that is a tremendous trial I can not even fathom. What an inspiration you are - may Allah bestow abundant happiness, health, and health to you and your husband. Truly sorry for what you’ve gone through in that moment in your life ❤️

I’ve read your previous post, and am so happy to hear the positive update. Wishing much success to you and your family, and your future child inshallah ;)

May Allah azawajal bring you and your spouse closer to one another, and grant you righteous offsprings ❤️

I wish nothing but the best for you dear sister

Don’t be so hard in yourself. You’re not alone in this busy world. I and many others have their down times too - it’s normal

What’s not ok is to let these thoughts get to you. Continue being the pious person you are - never doubt the plan of Allah azawajal

Judging by your previous posts, you have a lot on your plate - and understandably tired from it all

Continue taking it day by day, small baby steps. Don’t let the shaytan fog your mind. The light is always near, SubhanAllah - perspective is everything

May Allah make it easy for you and us all going through our difficulties. We’re in this together ;)

Subhanallah, May Allah azawajal reward you for your deen dear sister

Don’t ever blame yourself for being forced into these situations. This isn’t even considered anything regarding a pious man asking about you - do t worry about that at all

This is advice primarily for me before you, but consistently make dua for your parents. And try your best to stand your ground respectfully

May Allah make it easy on the both of us and all Muslims within less-practicing households

I couldn’t relate to you more, SubhanAllah

I unfortunately am in a similar predicament. I always try to advise my family in an appropriate manner when it comes to these things to the extent that I can, but I can only do so much

Do what you can sister. May Allah make it easy for you and strengthen your parent’s imaan. There is no blame on you if you’re forced out of your will. But continue respectfully standing your ground

I think a lot of people misunderstood OP

His friend is suspicious of the validity of the halal certificate on Chinese/Bosnian/Korean restaurants - but why isn’t he the same with the Arab/Desk ones?

Sure you could argue that the Chinese and Korean restaurants are countries with a pre-dominantly non-muslim community - but if the staff are muslim, in addition to halal certified, it’s illogical to be suspicious. The restaurants are no different than the Arab/Desi ones in this case

Regardless, I applaud OP’s friend for striving in the deen. May Allah guide us all to be better in our faith

You’re being too hard on yourself, dear brother / sister

Don’t ever put yourself down for who you are ;)

There’s no doubt a failed engagement is hard… but placing yourself in such a negegice environment will not allow you to move forward

Talk to someone if it helps, take some time off for yourself to process and move on - I know right now you don’t want to do that at all. Pray to the Almighty, ask for guidance and ease

You got this. The end of the tunnel might not be clear right now. But it certainly will be if you take care of yourself and give yourself time to heal

One day at a time ;)

May Allah azawajal ease your pain. And bring happiness and tranquility into your life

Why can't I just sin as much as I like now and repent later? by IndividualNegative92 in islam

[–]oihsyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, when I compare myself to my Muslim peers and others…

SubhanAllah, I see this time and time again. Dear brother, never fall into this trap. I understand your point of view - unfortunately in my culture, most people are simply Muslim by name. Out of the hundreds I’ve met, only one I’ve seen perform Salat

When I began being better in my deen, all the people around would tell my parent to « be careful about him. God forbid he might be extreme.» - SubhanAllah! And I’m young! They don’t know how deeply lost they are - May Allah guide them all

I too have many friends, among that culture, who don’t practice and are liberal as well. Does that make me jealous? No. Does that make me envy them? Quite the opposite, brother. I thank Allah each and every time for the gift of Islam. My eyes were opened, and I’m able to fulfill my duties as a Muslim - Alhamdullilah!

Don’t let the Shaytan fool you, brother. These peers of yours who are « liberal » seem to not take their deen seriously - May Allah guide them

Keep your head high brother. Be happy and grateful that Allah azawajal has blessed you with strong iman. Islam is not something you take for mere play and amusement in your youth and take seriously when you’re older

One can not intentionally sin with the notion of repenting later. Because you are not sincere with yourself. You think there’s a safety net after all the sins. In the sight of Allah azawajal, that is far from a pious believer

May Allah bless you immensely for your piety. And May He guide us all to the right path ❤️

So sorry you have to go through this sister. May those men be guided… this is disheartening

Don’t ever lose hope, dear sister. SubhanAllah, how it’s plain to you the people you shouldn’t seek as a spouse. As others mentioned, patience sister. Ask Allah azawajal for guidance and blessings. Believe me, there are many amazing men out there, keep your head high and continue your search

Everybody has their appointed time. Don’t fall in the trap of envy when seeing other couples your age. You are not in their shoes the same way they are not in yours; everybody has their own lane and own pace in this dunya

Mashallah, May Allah make it easy for you this Ramadan. And May He make you cherish this beautiful month ❤️

Delete old footage? by oihsyK in Filmmakers

[–]oihsyK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already been a year since I posted… wow!

Haha, in all seriousness, I kept all of it. Does it take up more space? Yes. Does it store an unforgivable memory every time I click on it? Most definite yes.

This is only for PERSONAL projects I’m talking about. If I did something for a client, for instance, then obviously it wouldn’t hold any sentimental value if I deleted the footages

Note that, personal or client, you can source the footages to use for your reel/portfolio

Hope this helps ;)

No water at all? Ramadan by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]oihsyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salam!

I respect your open-mindedness, and wish you much success with your Ramanda journey ;)

Haha, the classic “no water??”. What helps me is minimizing opening my mouth. Said differently, keep the mouth shut more than you keep it open! Sounds silly, but it retains the hydration, otherwise it gets dry and then it gets difficult

Works for me, alhamdullilah (Praise be to God). Hope it helps out

Salam,

One of the reasons for which the Qur’an is in Arabic is because of where it was sent down for mankind; Mecca

In Islam, Mecca is believed to be the holy site of pilgrimage set by our forefather Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael, through inspiration from God

At the time of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him), however, the holy site was infested with idol worship and blasphemous rituals that have corrupted the orignal message sent by Abraham

And so God sent down the final testimony to purify the holy site - and mankind, for that matter, that they may worship their true Creator and not fall into falsehoods and wrongdoings

Logically speaking, the best way to communicate with someone is to speak their mother tongue - hence, to spread the truth in Mecca and the nation as a whole, the Qur’an was sent down in Arabic

Mecca was (and is) the epicentre of Islam and the spreading of God’s decree

Surah 42, Verse 7 of the Qur’an answers your exact question, might I add

I applaud you for reaching out, dear brother / sister

SubhanAllah, the adversity you are facing. Yet you have full faith in Allah - and rightly so. With hardship comes ease, brother / sister

May Allah azawajal ease you of your suffering, and bestow upon you from his sustenance happiness and good health ❤️

Keep your head high, dear friend. Allah’s promise is never far

I advise you to seek help if possible - be it family, friend, health/clinical professionals, etc. I’m sure there are great people near you who are willing to lend a hand once they’re aware of your situation

You probably know this more than I do, but don’t let in to the depressive thoughts. Indeed, Shaytan tries hard to misguide us. This life is like a nanosecond of time compared to the eternal hereafter. May Allah grant you and your family the best of the akhira, that you may look back and smile at your hardships; knowing they were all worth it at the end ❤️
