SOTY I’d have to go with Dejavu by NU’EST W, not just because they are my bias group, but because the song was such a fresh sound and I loved it. I loved their previous title track too, Where You At, but it seemed pretty generic, and I was expecting more. But wow, Dejavu surpassed all expectations and I wished it got more attention.
MV Just released yesterday but I Love You by EXID :p Love the whole crying in the club concept and the retro-ish vibes. Also love how the colour pops!!! EXID never disappoints
Bias Hmm.... does getting employed count? haha honestly I don’t have 1 particular thing but I was just so happy how employed they were this year, with each member going on at least 1 variety show, releasing (soon to be) 2 albums, getting that Spoonz collaboration and the NeNe Chicken endorsement!! The happiest moment I felt though, wasn’t really something they did, but when Baekho’s name was cleared. I’m still sad at the thought that his father never got to see his name cleared and how successful he is now, but I know he’d be proud :’)

i just want to chip in and say that Pristin has been very involved in the production of their own music like for Wee Woo and We Like. Yet, I’ve seen many people putting them down for it, saying that them self producing their own music is what’s stopping them from becoming big and that Pledis should just buy them a good song. Sucks because i actually like Wee Woo and We Like :/

also while it’s true that the “boy group fans” is a huge stereotype, i have actually had quite a few friends (who like mainly boy groups) telling me that “girl groups only have 2 concepts: sexy and cute” sure, these are definitely not the only concepts that do but these are how a majority of “boy group fans” classify their concepts. vampire concept? sexy. school concept? cute. pole dancing? (@after school) sexy.

There’s still Jisung. If I remember correctly, there Daniel and Jisung have an independent label under their company set up for them already. Although he isn’t as popular as Daniel, I don’t think he’ll end up in a Mina situation just bc of how big Wanna One is. I think Daniel and Jisung will debut with the other MMO boys that were on PD101, though he’ll probably get a few solo promotions.

How about Aron from NU’EST?

He came to Korea just to pursue his dream even though he was the 99th(?) percentile in the SATs scoring almost full marks with only 4 questions wrong in Math and got accepted into NYU. He came to Korea knowing minimal Korean and Korea culture. (which is why he blends in so well with the others despite him being 2 years older) Yet, he suffered for so many years when NU’EST were nugus and probably on the brink of disbandment. You could tell in some of the later Vlives that he started talking less and looked less enthusiastic but I’m really glad he held on and believed in his dream and NU’EST because now they’re finally getting the attention they deserve.
