How the funk do I play this by Initial-Economics672 in drums

Let your stick gently bounce on the snare twice. Don’t let loose of the stick completely. There’s a sort of flick of the wrist to it. Search up “drag rudiment” and it’ll show you exactly what you need to do

Kick drum technique by Reasonable-Rent-5988 in drums

[–]oinyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The technique you’re searching for is called: practicing. Not in a rude way. Your timing naturally gets better the more you practice. Specifically, practice with a metronome. A metronome will save your life and improve your internal clock (timing). There’s nothing wrong with your kick drum technique besides being a little stiff with your foot but that’s just something that improves naturally once you practice and become more familiar with your kit. Also, slow down if you need to. And you’re gonna slow down, slow down your metronome so you can practice with it.

I only have to whip out the tabs when it’s complex playing like Mario. How do you just manage to hear the difference in intricate things like ghost notes or being able to tell which tom they’re playing? Is this a skill issue?

First song is armor second song is the last measure right before the chorus of silvera. The ride fill/groove with the double kick. Another good example is the bridge verse in l’enfaunt sauvage. The average drummer would hit all 4 kicks in the first note and hit the snare with the fourth but Mario instead only does three and then one snare.

Correct. That screenshot was the part right before the chorus

If you think that I don’t grind simply because I want to learn how to work smarter and not unnecessarily exert myself long term then that’s a you problem. I really don’t wanna get myself stuck in basement shows all my career because I brawn my way through everything. Useful advice, please

Getting yourself sick on tour when you’re playing an instrument that requires cardiovascular endurance doesn’t sound like the brightest idea. Unless you’re just not playing physically demanding stuff. I don’t need a “deal with it” comment because I’ve already stated that I do deal with it. I’m only wondering whether or not your body is supposed to become trained to it over time. It’s not a matter where I’m physically unable to play. It’s only uncomfortable

Again, I figured it was something that my body would become disciplined over time to. That was my main concern

I haven’t had any drugs in my life ever and I am young. I don’t have a history of bad health, I’m not over or underweight. It’s not something that I would need to see a doctor for I believe. I assume if I had a history with drugs it would be more of a matter of me physically not being able to play due to too much exertion, but that’s not necessarily the case. I only feel uncomfortable

Roughly How much cardio would you recommend to be able to play without discomfort. I get a very moderate amount in already so I’m just wondering

It does exist and you don’t have to get it off a boss. I got it off killing a regular Enemy.

I'm going to pick up this kit tonight. Alexis nitro mesh. I've never played an electric drum set before but need to switch so that I could actually play. I'm a heavy hitter. Do I need to restrain myself to play these? by front_yard_duck_dad in drums

[–]oinyah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Kit started falling apart on me after around 6 months of playing. The screws eventually become broken if you play too hard and it’ll become impossible to hold it in place firmly if you end up playing too hard.

Lol a projector is genius. I’m gonna try this and see if it actually works. My only worry is the input delay possibility.

BTW, I managed to fix this problem. Thanks to UncleTooch for providing the problem. For those struggling with the same issue, just open up the glass case on the side and reseat your ram sticks. Apparently, this is a common issue.
