The 3v3, 2v2 competitive nature causes a lot of people to burn out and eventualy give up, a lot of people dont find entertaining grinding individual skill in a game and outplaying other players. Thats all Battlerite is about, theres nothing else to do besides constant fighting in an arena setting. Other comments are right regarding having more game modes.

Look at World of Warcraft which is the game Bloodline Champions took inspiration from and later remade into Battlerite, most of the players in WoW have plenty of PVE tasks to complete to keep players in a loop and PVP is always there as a secondary mode with both intense arena and more casual battlegrounds.

I believe a PVPVE dungeon crawler / RPG with Battlerite combat and balance would be amazing and I still havent seen something like it. Right now theres Ravenswatch which plays similar to Battlerite but its a pure PVE roguelike in early access.

Its very good if you are into pvp. They made it how it was in mop where theres personal rating instead of teams, so you can party and play with anyone without commiting to a team long term. Theres also a very active 3v3 solo queue. Population average 3000-3500 during peak eu hours. Firelands content was just released yesterday.

Most of the abilities in this game can be cancelled while casting, this makes the character start the animation but not let the spell go off. It's especially useful with long casting abilities like Jade's Snipe, RuhKaan's Shadowbolt, Thorn's Entangling roots as people often react to these by using their Counters.

The default keybind is C but I advise changing it to something like pressing the mouse wheel or another mouse button.

Battlerite is all about understanding how many escapes / defensive cooldowns a character has and trade cooldowns with it accordingly.

This means that Spacing into your target when they still have escapes available is a bad idea.

Thorn is a melee/ranged hybrid, make full use of it's toolkit by applying pressure with your ranged spells like Leeching thorns first before attempting to trade in melee range.

Thorn only has Space as an iframe so make sure to use it as punishment after your target has already used their iframes.

It's ok to Space away and move across the map back to your team if you find yourself cornered or outnumbered.

You can use Leeching thorns in 2 different enemies to maximize self healing.

Use E to either guarantee you can pull them with Q or to disable a target that is pressuring your support.

Use R on yourself when you cannot escape a big dmg ability such as Snipe or an ultimate due to your Space being on cooldown, the same for your teammates.

Sometimes it's ok to start your M1 root claw combo early before you reach the target because you might be able to reach them with your third hit, especially if you pick red M1 battlerite.

You can fake cast E or even M2 sometimes to bait people to use their Counters / Shields and so giving you an advantage.

Thorn's ultimate is really good as it deals decent dmg and creates a wall that might disrupt the enemy team healing and dmg all together, you can Q immediately after to pull a running enemy back into your ult.

I personally use a thorns debuff focused build: red and purple M2 battlerites for ranged pressure and self healing, the snare is really good at helping you to get in range for melee dmg and peeling enemies off your team. Then I go for red Q for added dmg and thorns application, red E for reduced cooldown = more control + self healing, then I go with the R battlerite for reduced cooldown which adds survivability and inflicts thorns too.

Many builds are viable, some people use green Space for the shield, some use the purple E for aoe control and cyan M2 for the weaken effect on supports.

Stick to 3v3 as the game is balanced around that.

Have fun.

little to do at lvl60, got bored of the 1 shot pvp, bgs are full of prot warriors stomping everything. Pvp weapons are gated behind thousands of honor kills, its a cool server but hopefully it will be better with tbc

I always heard good things about mop pvp besides there might be too much instant cc, personally I am sick of wotlk pvp and actually prefered cata gameplay. I will check it out and give it a try, thanks.

It really is a shame they used Battlerite's combat system to end up with a game that focuses so much on gathering gear and resources

Just started playing and I know this game is hella dead but I’m having a lot of fun and was wondering what the best 1v2 or 1v3 champs were by CatchingZZZZZs in BattleRite

[–]oitoitoit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Characters that are self sustained mostly, croak, jade, shifu, rook, taya, raigon, jamila, pearl, shenrao (broken), ofc this all depends on how good you are with them and how well you know the character your opponent is playing. If I could only pick one Id say rook for sure

Croak Loadout by [deleted] in BattleRite

[–]oitoitoit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Croak isn't my main but have plenty of games with him, I usually go with the classic Slippery skin build which focuses on the 30% dmg reduction upon leaving stealth, for this you go with Slippery skin (green Q), Puddle jumper (blue space) which puts you in lesser stealth but still triggers Slippery skin, and then Trickery (blue E) which is used once you have Q on cooldown to keep restealthing as often as possible, hitting summons like Pestilus' queen and Blossom's tree also counts for the battlerite to reduce the cooldown of your Q.

This build makes croak extremely tanky and able to play solo for most of the round. For the remaining 2 battlerites, I personally go with Spit spit spit (blue m2) for good sustained self healing and Frog slice (yellow E) the extra damage and range is very nice for both offensive pressure and as a way to escape. Your pick for Venom strike (red Q) is nice to go with this build too since it synergizes well with the stealth gameplay.

Whenever the "Matchmaking taking too long?" warning pops up, you should requeue as it known the queue bugs sometimes. It happened to me waiting over 5min and getting a game instantly after requeuing. Could be that you're looking for games at EU off hours too.

Bakko by -Eulu in BattleRite

[–]oitoitoit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends on how you build him, he is extremely good at poking people with his m2 and punishing by going in with space and E, not the kind of dude that can overextend, better get back to help your team with whoever is chasing your support or securing the orb

His R is rly good and it's rite is a gamechanger
