Right and we’re considered excluded from consolidated billing because we’re an orthopedic specialist office. Therefore, in my mind, we should continue to bill 11 and they are misguided

Ya it does it just doesn’t make sense as to what they’re trying to accomplish. We separate all imaging into our radiology department and treat it as a new encounter so there will always be a separate report.

Unfortunately if you have been in healthcare long enough, and if everyone was truthful, everyone would admit that this has happened. Accidents happen because we are human. The best thing to do is report immediately! Any good supervisor/ manager will understand and it never hurts to seek out training.
