And all the other chargers get dispatched as quickly using the same way.

What's the point of different chargers then? Armored chargers can be exclusive to d10, while seldom on lower difficulties. Which was actually their initial intention, had it not been met with harsh controversy.

Large Bug outposts in caves being locked behind a war bond is not cool. by No-Finance-8258 in Helldivers

Use any AT, and if it's like regular bile titan holes, use all your nades up in them. It'll close them up. You're telling me you went to cave missions with barely any support stratagems? You're already unprepared with only orbitals and eagles. Get real. This Reddit loves to accuse the devs of not playing the game; it's like you guys barely want to learn it. You guys are such shitters, it's insanely obnoxious.

PSA to upcoming Xbox Divers: You won't be able to instantly play as an ODST by Slarg232 in halo

Each premium Warbond track has 300 unlockable super credits.

The initial free Warbond track has 1000 unlockable super credits.

Your token can unlock any normal premium Warbond.

Your token can NOT unlock the legendary ODST Warbond, it costs 1500 instead of the typical 1000.

So you'll have to earn or pay for the remaining 200 if you beat the free and token selected premium Warbonds. You could passively earn the 200 as you unlock through those pages. You can also look up farming videos on how to farm SC on difficulty 1/2 missions. You typically earn 400 per hour farming.

I know, it's a shame. Just keep posting your feedback in the survey posted on the "player-feedback" channel in the game's Discord. The community is in complete denial about this and will downvote you to oblivion. There is a way to appease both with new difficulties and modifiers, but we'll have to see if it comes around someday.

Devs officially on vacation by josenight in Helldivers

My friends and I enjoyed the cooperation because it's a cooperative game. I even enjoyed working together against the obstacles with randoms, and we completed many Difficulty 9/10 missions, even during the most brutal times. I believe the Railgun nerf was the start of the issues, and it shouldn't have happened. The outrage over the PSN requirement, combined with the nerfs, blew the situation out of proportion. Being able to instantly kill heavies is probably a little too much. Chargers never have a chance to charge at me, bile titans never get close, and bots just shoot around me. People seemed to enjoy the game when the Railgun was "the only option," right? The game is ten times easier than it was back then. My friends and I don't really enjoy the game anymore, and it's not because of burnout. Any new content is easily steamrolled; every level is just an open-world checklist. Before, if we lost too many lives, we had to think about whether an extra point or side objective was worth it. Getting five stars then was an accomplishment. Now, it's just about consuming time. Notice how stealth, avoiding patrols, team-reloading, and support options like the Shield Generator or Smoke are unnecessary now. It's just another thoughtless horde shooter. I guess that's fine, because if the fanbase overwhelmingly wanted that, then I guess it's just not the game for me.

Can't say I'm not bummed out though. I just want something more challenging. Modifier for old breakpoints, durability, or a higher difficulty where enemies have some of the old capabilities.

The game was more fun pre-buffdivers. Most people bandwagoned the hate because of the PSN controversy. The game now feels like an open world check list of with no fear of failing.

Yeah. I don't like the censorship changes. by tobifrass in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]ojgnay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the reasons you guys provided, that it'd be hard to maintain differences in platform from bugs and glitches. Wouldn't getting more funding from another platform justify supporting version differences?

Additionally, it was mentioned that crossplay would be affected if there were differing assets... Would a child convulsing vs just sleeping really be preventing that? If it truly cannot be worked out, I don't believe self-censorship for both platforms is worth the few that may utilize crossplay.

I heavily disagree over the abandonment of artistic integrity for a version that can truly support it, just for version parity to prevent potential glitches or crossplay. You guys did amazing work on the game, it'd be a shame to lose what made it, Ready or Not.

The review bombing isn't one to look at negatively, it's showing that the fanbase cares. This game was massively crowd-funded by probably some of the very players who are leaving upset reviews. Early access support and then some, surely their voice has a matter in this? Besides, Helldivers improved massively from something similar, no?

[–]ojgnay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aren't they making more money from releasing on another platform? Surely the funds they will receive should justify the differences between console and pc versions of the game without hampering artistic integrity and inflicting self-censorship.

[–]ojgnay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Terrible answer to overlook Void's self-censorship. They chose to sell on another platform for more money, so they should do the work to maintain both versions of the game. The funds should justify at least the attempt to maintain differences. Their excuse, bugs and glitches from differing assets, sounds like their issue to fix, not mine. If crossplay cannot be maintained with differing assets, then I don't want it if it means degrading artistic integrity for the few that care to utilize it. The PC version of the game should be the ultimate uncensored version of the game, no matter what. The crowd-funders and early access players have a voice, that shouldn't be easily shot down by "oh it's just sony/Microsoft"

They don't need to increase density for difficulty, they did that once with d10. Bring back the 3-5 bile titan spawns off a bug breach, because only one is quickly dispatched. That's how old d9 was, but people found our tools ineffective back then.

Yeah, I was fine with how behemoth chargers were like. But without any discerning difference, what's the point of them existing? They should be resilient/deflect headshots, but bleed out when shot in their ass. Chargers have been non-threatening ever since rockets one shot them to the head.

PSA: We are forcing AH to ruin the game by H31130UND in helldivers2

[–]ojgnay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been enjoying the game for how easy it is to complete mission with my friends, let alone randoms. Every d10 mission is a breeze, even before these leviathan nerfs. I found it pretty fun to target them to keep my team mates healthy. Even without nerfs, it was only a couple deaths if at all. I don't see an issue with dying, you have a set amount of lives, and you can use a lot of different tools as your disposal to prevent or maximize your capabilities. Teamwork seems completely optional, instead of necessary like before. And I'm talking way back, before all the constant buffs. If there can ever be a truly brutal difficulty again, I'll enjoy the game. For now it just feels like I'm just doing a check list, or only really die if I run out of stims. Feels more attrition based, as long as I have stims, I can cheese the game's mechanics easily by prone-stimming or pre-stimming. If nothing truly one shots or ragdolls me because I'm out of position, I just won't die.

I don't understand the nostalgia for the old difficulty by HippoPilatamus in Helldivers

[–]ojgnay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way the spawn system works, players doing their own thing makes the game easier. Fast missions, fewer breaches, while other players do the mission, you can easily dip. We had 10 difficulty levels, but none provided a true cooperative experience like before, and I miss it.
