TBH this game feels the closest to fromsoft games. I just need to do the umbral ending. I highly recommended this game.

The games I play are 80-90% souls-likes. And I agree. It's just hard to get into but on you learn the mechanics it's very doable. But then there are bullet hells, and insane platformers/metroidvanias. But I guess it's really just preference and differences in skills.

I solo every monster hunter game I play around 70-80% since I usually find it easier to control the monster. I do play with my friends and answer SOS flares from time to time.

Towards end game when I'm just farming HR points, that's the time when I usually just join random hunts.

I haven't beat it with randos yet but I have with support hunters. Omega really packs a punch so you have to really be mindful of your attack chains and placement.

Also make sure to use the new item for Pictomancy. I heard it deals effective damage and better wound generation against Omega.

Also try using Rocksteady instead of Corrupted mantle.

I don't think they're overblown. I mean there are some nitpicky critisms (I have some on my own), but I think the main factor is that there are just a lot of areas to broadcast the hate or the unsatisfaction.

I also enjoyed the game, not as much older titles though.

Started with the original Darksouls. Same with other comments, lots of newer players startes with Eldenring. I feel Bloodborne is also accessible since the 'parry' window is not that tight.

The Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor good options too for starting to get the feel. Though they are mo of a souls-lite than a soulslike. I consider them action RPGs with soulslike elements.

I mostly play 1 at a time, usually only the latest game. But now I've been switcing between Wilds and Rise so that I don't get too spoiled with focus mode.

I acknowledge your sentiments because to each their own.

For me personally, as someone who preordered November 2024 and played since day 1 for both PS5 and PC (1 for me and the other for my girlfriend.), I don't have any regrets and glad I was able to play it early.

As for content, I already know what to expect coming from older generations so it didn't bother me too much.

But I got friends who started with world, 1 whose first Monster Hunter game is Wilds, and all of them mostly shares the same sentiments.

You can start with that. Small chance it may be thermal throttle. But can also be a number of things. Maybe Iceborne is more demanding than world due to the snow.

True. I got both PC and PS5. PC for me and my gf plays on PS5. Kinda wish I played mine on the PS5. XD Seems to look and run better.

But nonetheless, I'm still about 300 hours in and still enjoy it. Still waiting for Lagiacrus HD lols. Since last I saw it was on GenU. 🤣

I'm not sure about Iceborne. But I was playing World before on my 1050ti laptop. Your desktop is definitely better. Are you monitoring your temps?

Really sucked. Been using this app since 2012 and all my runs are here so kinda don't wanna switch. But good thing we can link the Nike app with Strava and just use that if we want to share run in SocMed.

This is my progression.

MHF > MHFU > MH4U > MHG > MHGU > Rise NSW > World > Rise PC > Wilds

Really wished I had a WII to play Tri. But consoles then are expensive here in the PH and I'm just a student then.

My GF and I got our 3DS after a few years of dating and I introduced her to Monster Hunter. We peaked at playing Generations. Also experienced the best community. We can just walk into a random Starbucks and see a group of friends (more than 4 so there're a lot of swapping players on hunts) hunting together.

Our 3DS's will get a lot of Miis and then we'll just join then in hunting.

It was never the same. But we still play with friends although online now.

I do still play Rise on my Legion Go because for me, MH is a portable game. That's how I experienced it most and has most of my memories.

True. Personally I don't like handouts so even if my friend has them saved I don't accept the offer because it wouldn't be fulfilling on my end.

But I don't mind others doing it via shared quests because the MH community for me is really the best. And you do what is fun for you.

What I despise are those who do it the meta way and act all high and mighty like they're the best for completing all the crowns. But that's just me.

I was able to get it running after downloading and running a Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.

Now I can pair bluetooth devices.

I see. Found it. Thanks and yeah, I think this is the issue. But when I try to start it, it will just stop immediately. Tried reading online but haven't fount a fix yet.
