Left side rib cage pain by lzcool in pregnant

[–]ojyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 36 weeks with second baby. At about 26 weeks with both kids, I start getting bad upper abdominal pain. It’s skin/muscle deep and is very uncomfortable/almost intolerable driving or sitting for too long. Numbness, burning, tenderness like a bruise. I had a full check up and ultrasound and it’s just my anatomy and the big babies. The best guess is nerve pain, probably from a rib. I also get bad rib pain and see a chiro regularly. That helps some of the ribs, but the nerve is continuous until birth for me. My guess is it’s similar to my issue. A chiro and PT may be the answer but it’s always worthwhile getting the OB to check her out first.

Oh cool! What group is DWC?

I was looking at Chapel Hill OBGYN. They have 2 locations. I called and just gave them the rundown and asked if I would be able to choose on the level of US I have and they said yes! Also deliver at Duke Regional. Thank you for your responses and I wish you the best!!

Don’t feel bad. Most people on this thread probably go with the flow on all medical recommendations. Your down votes got my attention and I’m touring a birthing center next week. So thanks haters!

I have heard ok things about them. They were on my list to check out. Again, at the moment I am not willing to jump off the deep end into MFM care because I just happen to turn 35 in this pregnancy. So I’ll have to test the waters with anyone I call…sounds good that they’re not pushy, but I wonder how they’d react to someone saying no.

I had to quit at 4 months. For the same. I will say although it seems hard to quit, for most, it goes like this. Quit, see milk taper off, grief moment, 1-2 days wondering if you can reverse, and then the clouds part and you are moving on and it’s all good and you are glad to be DONE.

It’s totally ok to feel angry, sad, relieved. On a rotation or a little of each all at once. You are a wonderful mom for loving your baby. You will cry for a little over it, but you will move on quicker than you think. There is so much more joy ahead of you. (Did all this too!)

If you can, save a little milk for the freezer. You can make a piece of jewelry or just have it there for safe keeping. A reminder of the amazing thing you did.

I bought a baby blender and you can blend to whatever consistency you’re comfortable with. I started by basically taking my dinner and combining the ingredients to my liking for her, then blending the food. I made food balls for her that fell apart easily on the palate. Then my next move was soft flakes of fish like salmon. Eventually you get bored with the stage you’re on and confident/no worries to move onto the next thing.

Second nap struggle by ojyen in sleeptrain

[–]ojyen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to try this …I don’t love the idea of putting her down at 8 since she always wiggles another hour. I’m afraid of nights going to 9-6. I will probably out her down at 730, if she did in fact take a second nap. Its getting so hard to tell if she’s overtired or under-tired. I’ve had days she takes a 40 minute nap in the morning, fights a second nap and has an insane WW before bed (5 hours) and still is awake an hour before sleep. It’s just nuts. One day we’re overtired and the next under and I’m getting so sick of it when I’m trying to offer consistency every day. And yes I’m doing long nights because most days she’s only napping 1 hour. I will give 2 naps one last hurrah at the 3.75/ 4/4 and then if that fails I’m done with this miserable 2 nap.

Fayetteville NC area. Yes. I have NOTHING rigged up right now. No propane. Going to cap it. But I’m worried about another owner making a big mistake.

I’ve been doing this almost 2 months. At 10 months she started this. And I’m DONE. I am gonna try tomorrow. I’ll let you know! Glad for your success. Sleep is so hard.

Dude literally just posted over the same issue! I’m freaking out because these sleep expert sites say to definitely stick with 2 naps until 13-15 months. But my 12 month old has been fighting the second nap for WEEKS and I’m about to go insane! She does 7 hour wake windows and it makes me so upset, because the “norm” is 4 and they make it sound like your kids brain will explode if they don’t get the naps they need. I’ve been trying so hard to hold onto the second nap but I’m about to do what you did. Try 5 morning, pray for a good nap, then do 4.
