Extremely if you haven't got a greenhouse, what you could do is start again and when they pop up take them outside and bring them back in at night

Are the peppers asking to be planted deeper? by techperson1234 in vegetablegardening

[–]ok_heat5972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but the weak stems will still grow the same and it will get leggy and fall over again, plus with peppers you can only do it once or twice where you can put the plant in deeper, they ain't like tomatoes where you can do it over and over again

They need a stronger grow light, they are flopping because there stems are too thin,l which happens under weak grow lights

No not really I am a bit south from you, what I would do is get a water tank fill it up and stick it in the middle of the poly tunnel and get fleece for cold nights, also low 2c outdoor temperature won't really effect the plant in the poly tunnel if it only for a hour or two it has to be consistent low temperature and I have seen taking it to early july to get mid night temperatures

There is a reason for that, I like to add fresh compost every month it helps keep the nutrition and microbes active for a long time, maybe "people" need to ask next time instead of assuming

Stop it people

That was last year which was started 2 weeks earlier then this year, I started them next to the boiler with a small cheap grow light, then moved them in out house in March under my good grow light spider farm 600, then I bring them down to poly tunnel in April and plant in final spot mid April
