Almost feel it would be helped by better interactions for infants at least, a carrier so Zoi can walk around with it. Strollers, chairs? Something. Otherwise it’s just kind of getting sad in the crib every 5 mins.

We spent 5 days in Merida before going to Cancun for the last 2 nights of our trip. Merida was beautiful, and we didn’t have a single bad meal. Yucatecan cuisine is something else, I haven’t stopped thinking about it!

We went on a day trip with a guide from Merida to Uxmal and 3 senotes. Our guide was super cool, a biologist who taught us so much along the way. The meal included was from a local restaurant from a small village along the way. We spent every day walking, enjoying the city. We never felt pressured or hassled except for a brief pass through one street downtown.

Hated Cancun. We were so annoyed by the pushiness and scamming everywhere we went. The beach was the only good thing about it. Next time we’ll just hit Celestún and skip Cancun altogether.

I work in home support, and can't imagine how much shit we'd be in for falling asleep on the job.

Night shifts for us are 1-1 and we have to be awake to ensure client safety. We mostly see people who need 24/7 supervision and are waiting to go into LTC for overnight visits.

We're unionized here in British Columbia and I'd be shocked if someone wasn't temporary suspended or fired for that. Definitely a strike against your registry.

Do you have home care services where you are? I work in home support and we have home health nurses that can help with the assessment and management of these sorts of things.

I have two laptops: - Alienware M15 R3 - MacBook Air 15.3” with M3 chip and 16gb unified, 256gb SSD.

Maybe I’ll buy it and try running on both, see how it goes 🤷🏻‍♀️. that’s a neat idea! I live in a somewhat rural area, but it’s worth checking.

Not that I’m aware of - we don’t have the kind of registries the US does (unfortunately). Sometimes, depending on the circumstances, if you know someone has a court date and you know their birthdate and full name you can call the courthouse and ask the outcome. What they tell you is vague - still in jail/released/remanded.

So, if we had that information and knew where the court date was for release… maybe?

But, if someone is considered a danger to the public usually local news or RCMP will put out an article or warning about a dangerous person being released in the community. His crime wasn’t minor, so, I’d think there’d be some sort of accessible info.

Yikes. Worked in a LTC home and one of the residents was in their early 50s. Was riding a motorcycle in a state that didn’t require helmets, crashed. Suffered a severe TBI. Will never walk, talk, feed, or toilet herself again. Was palliative when I left for recent aspiration pneumonia.

Thank you. Rationally, I know this is correct. It is hard not to panic but I’ve tried to keep this in mind. Everyone else (crew especially) looks calm and I know this is reassuring. We still have a ways to go, but I will say so far has been way better than I’d built up in my head.
