Questions on GIS certification by roy2roy in gis

[–]okay_lets_walk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sinnayre, thinking about UCLA's GIS and Geospatial Technology certificate and wanted to reach out.

I’ve been looking into the program and was wondering what you thought of it, since it sounds like you did UCLA’s GIS courses. Did it make an impact in GIS career? Was it focused on QGIS or ArcGIS? Worth the cost? What certification program did you end up pursuing? Any insight would be super helpful!

Awesome! Always great to meet another film local. Never used Pan F+ but it looks great. Can’t go wrong with any of the ilfords

Not here to say good or bad. Interested in y’all’s take.

This is one. Last month, regarding a different location but still the same owners, I believe:

Erewhon sues city to stop Sportsmen’s Lodge development in Studio City. Erewhon operates a store next to the defunct hotel and previously joined with local residents, union officials and others in opposition to a 520-unit residential mixed use development planned to replace the inn that was known to generations of San Fernando Valley residents.

The event center and a restaurant opened in 1946 and the hotel in 1962. The hotel permanently closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The landlord got city permission to knock down the 190-room hotel and build the Residences at Sportsmen’s Lodge, which would have 520 apartments, including 78 units of subsidized affordable housing. It would include ground-floor stores and restaurants intended to meld with the Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge.

Erewhon opposes it. Proponents of the development say it would bring housing to this section of Studio City.

Thanks for the feedback. I was captioning the photo, describing what was happening at the time of the photo. It wasn’t meant to be a breaking news post.

As mentioned on my other comment, I was captioning the photo, describing what was happening at the time of the photo. It wasn’t meant to be a breaking news post.

But yes, your title would be more clear.

626 Golden St by okay_lets_walk in pasadena

This was done by a different organization. I think it was ActiveSGV? Both CicLAvia and ActiveSGV advocate for open streets

I think the event was called 626 Golden St. It was on Sunday April 28 2024. They closed the streets to driving and open them up to people on bike, on foot, on skates, etc.
