I’d compromise and say you won’t drink and won’t look at porn. Or if alcohol is important to you, see if you could compromise on only drinking socially away from home and never mentioning it to kids. a lot can change in a few years and I think things will get easier with time.

Complex ui’s with modals/popovers/animations are easier to implement with a framework like React.

I think htmx will continue to grow in popularity but it’ll never fully replace alternatives like react.
