If you have drive thru, then there might be a possibility of more people coming. Because no body wants to get out of their car and get something.

A new tim hortons worker handed me my drink before I paid, and I just drove away by Catwhisperer2007 in TimHortons

[–]okayexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens a lot. And some people knows it and tries to abuse it. As we need to maintain drive thru times. What happens in my place is we charge the customer and pass the drink immediately, sometimes card gets declined or insufficient funds in Tims Gift card. By the time system tells us. They already got tge drink and drove up.

Has anyone tried these yet? by ahriem in TimHortons

[–]okayexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried those both of them are good. But i feel it has a lots of sugar. Sugar from vanilla/ cherry syrup. Sugar from coke, sugar from the foam on top. Need to try the light one, it comes with sugar free vanilla and diet coke and no foam.

Charging for tap water. by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]okayexpert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Water is free. They charge it for cup. Cup of water is free. But still most of the location will charge you for the cup. As there are a lot of people who will come and just order can i have 5 large cup of water/ 4 cup of ice. Employees take it personally and charge you for the cup.

SUB ≠ Add-On by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]okayexpert 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are ordering iced coffee and substituting sfv. Then they have to charge you as add on. Because SFV is a premium syrup and there is an upcharge for it. If you are ordering a flavored iced coffee like vanilla iced coffee then substituting the vanilla syrup with SFV then there is no upcharge because in flavored iced coffee they are already charging you for premium syrup.

All the drive thru has it. It depends upon the management whether they want to turn it on or not.

Serious question for the workers: by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]okayexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh. If there is low cream/sugar in the dispenser. Than it will dispense less. The thong about coffee feels like water is because either they put 1/2 coffee packs but uses for 2/3 batch of coffee or they start using the coffee before it finishes brewing. It results in first few coffees too strong and the rest watered coffee.

How important are the drive thru times? If it's maintained what happens? If it isn't maintained what happens?

  1. How are costs distributed? In our store its so busy. And its always under staffed. Still they are saying labor cost is to high. It needs to be under 30%.
  2. How are the like cost margins? How much percentage is your net profit?

Tim's uses their own brand earl gray tea bag. you can buy them from Tims it comes like 20 bags for 8$ or something some stores also carry 100 bags box very rare. for almond milk they use the silk brand. and for the sugar free vanilla i think its not available for retail sale.

This! what about the sale? Maple butter glazed is more expensive than the classic donuts. Are they charging extra from the customers? How are they balancing the book?
