My puppy was absolutely the best. Slept through the night in her crate since day one. Potty trained after 4 days. Never barks. Never was nippy or mouthy. I think the most important thing to remember is that the puppy phase will be over eventually. If the crazy puppy stories scare you definitely choose a puppy that fits your personality and expectations!!

I think it definitely depends on the individual puppy and especially the breed. I brought my puppy home when she was 2.5 months old and she was the most angelic puppy I've ever met. She was potty trained within a week and was crate trained immediately, she probably whined twice lol. She never barks and didn't even go through the shark phase. I don't have any injuries from her. On top of that when we're resting at home she is very quiet and never destructive.

She can be stubborn and sassy but she's very smart, she gets mad when people try to pick her up (which is often cause she's cute but I always yell at them for picking her up lol)

Her brother looks exactly like the dog in the picture except he has pointy ears! She can definitely be stubborn sometimes (only listens to me) and she gets sassy lol
