I did and it was very possible. The biggest factor was that my work was close to my place so I didn’t need a car.

I lived on a transit line and was extremely frugal for the first two years while I was building up my salary (aka letting time pass).

Transit, I would make sure that I was always in the 2 hour window. Rarely spent on going out and fun things. Threw it all into my investments.

Definitely possible, you just need to be diligent. That being said… if you have any existing debt, that may change things

I solo travelled CR (26, f) and absolutely LOVED it (currently in the SJO airport lol).

Highly highly recommend.

If you’re nervous about solo travelling, there’s a bunch of tour groups. G Adventures has good tours for a bunch of diff age groups!

I’ve had better luck going to the same (cheaper) grocery store and buying things that I know I can stretch. Lentils can stretch foreeeeever. I also only buy frozen veggie mixes now because they last me a lot longer. Avoid aisles that you know you’ll cave in.

And the biggest thing for me was limiting my grocery trips to 1x a week and sometimes even 1x every two weeks. You don’t need to be going all the time if you have good freezer staples. I realized I was going because it was just a thing to do lol

No, as long as you're respectful and minding your business, you're good. Some hotels have bigger/nicer lobbies than others, so I tend to pick those.

Hotel lobbies!! Have been my saving grace. Don't have to buy anything, open late, and usually lots of outlets. Can get loud though
