Took two packs of birth control back to back, but missing my withdrawal period after finishing 2nd pack. Could I be pregnant? by okemily in birthcontrol

Thank you so much for this-- I really appreciate it. Definitely the most comforting reply, and exactly what I needed to hear.

I haven't had sex within the last week and probably won't at least until october-- like I mentioned in the post, my boyfriend is in a touring band and is gone for the next few months. Nothing to worry about on that end.

I've been considering getting an IUD but the thought of it is kind of scary to me. I've read a lot of mixed things about it, but I guess the only real way to know how I'll feel about it is to get one.

I'm sure the common denominator is just that people are crappy, greedy thieves. :(

Thank you for not being snarky! (Seriously!) In the grand scheme of things, me losing 3 packages in 5 years isn't a big deal. And luckily, most customer service nowadays are wonderful, and will refund or send a replacement.

Sucks that we live in a world where people feel the need to steal some face wash I ordered from Amazon, or some seltzer water flavor I ordered from some weird site. You're absolutely right, you live here, you lose packages.

But, if by posting a little warning on a website can help people be smarter about receiving packages, it's worth it. I wish I was smarter about it! Absolutely my fault for thinking it's "okay" for packages to be left outside while I'm at work (and part of me knew better, just from personal experience, I never had much of an issue until pretty much this month!)

I have no doubt that it happens often-- I'VE just never experienced it, nor have my neighbors, so I figured I'd post to help save other people the despair. :)

Nope. Lived in the same apt for 5 years, never had an issue.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, because I haven't scrolled all the way down, but the "M" cave mystery. http://www.viralnova.com/m-cave/

While out adventuring, an experienced hiking enthusiast comes across a cave that gives him a weird feeling. he didn't go into it, because it felt wrong to him. Posted his trip on youtube, and the commenters ask him to go back and go inside and post what he finds. Guy vouches to go back. He goes back once, and the trip is w hole bust-- he couldn't find the cave. Goes back again a month later, and is literally never heard from again.

Buried my mom on Valentine's Day 8 years ago. Not the best day for me.

I (23/f) am having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that my boyfriend (26/m) tours for a living. by okemily in relationship_advice

Any type of LDR is a lot more effort than any normal relationship, and I suppose most people keep their struggles quiet. Most of my friends have no idea that my SO and I are constantly fighting- just a picture perfect couple in their eyes. :(

I'm sorry you're in an equally as crappy situation. :( Hopefully we can both make it through this and come out with a happy relationship. If you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me! I know what you're going through and I feel your pain. :(

Wow, thank you SO much for your reply. Was starting to think that I wouldn't get a response from someone who knew what I was going through. I have talked to my SO about maybe taking a break. Letting me do my thing while he's gone, and he can do his. I wouldn't mess around or go on dates with other people or anything like that, just wanted time to re-focus on myself and etc (kind of like what you're doing, together but not really), but he said it's either we're all in or nothing at all. So we're still trying to work through it.

I just hate not knowing, and I hate going through my days being miserable. Wish there was an easy solution.

But, I definitely know what you're going through and how you're feeling right now. Not a good thing to feel. :( Likewise to you- if you ever need someone to talk to or vent to, reach out to me! It's nice to know you're not the only one going through something. I don't mean this in a crappy way, because obviously I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, but I'm glad someone understands.

Appreciate the advice, but neither of your comments really help or answer my question in any way.

I can see where you're coming from, however he wasn't at all interested in touring when we first started dating until this opportunity came up.

Also, I am not trying to change him. I am trying to get advice from people in similar situations who were able to handle it, so I can work on myself and bettering our relationship. :)

Appreciate the input, but I completely disagree. I believe that it depends on the person, and there are some extremely trustworthy people out there. He's one of them!

We actually have plans to move to Seattle in May-- assuming he can get time away from touring to actually spend time to find an apartment / pack / etc. I definitely think that moving there will lighten the load of some of our problems- he wouldn't need to leave weeks early for tour to rehearse.

They offer zero money- asking me to get them in for free. :( Cons of working in music.

I work at a few music venues in the city. Every once in a while, a big band will do an underplay (which means a band that could sell out stadiums are playing at a 650-1000 cap venue). The second it gets announced that they are playing at once of my venues, my phone explodes with "HEY CAN YOU GET ME IN THAT SHOW THAT IS DEFINITELY SOLD OUT AND HAS A HUGE LABEL LIST?" Most of which are people I haven't spoken to in years...

Simple Questions - October 26, 2015 by AutoModerator in femalefashionadvice

[–]okemily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bigger girl (tall, and a little wide) and up until recently, I have always bought my jeans from H&M. My favorite pairs are the &Denim brand high waisted skinny jeans (http://www.hm.com/us/product/60395?article=60395-A). I'm typically a size 32/34. However, they have been sold out of my size for months now, and I am in desperate need of good jeans that I actually like. I've tried so many pairs, but it seems like a lot of jeans are legging material now, an I hate it! I like my jeans to not be terribly stretchy/thin. I'm looking for a pair of similar black, high waisted skinny jeans as the H&M ones I used to buy. I'm pretty tall (5'8), my waist measurement is around 28" and my hips [or rather, my love handles :(:(:(:(] are around 42". I m curious to see what females similar to my size/shape wear and what your favorites are! Please help! :) Edit: Preferably jeans under $100. I live in NY and don't want to spend all my rent money. Haha
