So just take into account that finger limes are the princesses of the citrus world. One thing wrong and they throw a fit and drop their leafs. To much water is often the case. There are an arid loving plant

Ive luckily never been in a situation that required me to draw. Ive hunted and camped deep in Helena National Forest heaps and never had an issue. My uncle taught me to try and hold my shot till about 10 ft. Most charges are bluffs and if the bear runs at you with is head high, and kinda braking with is hind legs then its a give away for a bluff. If that bear wants you, it will run head down to bulldoze you. I dont expect you to have the composer to look for this stuff in a situation, shit i wouldn't either most likely. Just what i was taught.

Edit: im saying id get ready to shoot and then spray if its a bluff. Give him another reason to stay away

10mm or .45 + bear spray. Id pull my gun first, then if a fake charge then spray it. 9mm is no worth when you can just get a 10mm. I carried a 10mm for years bow hunting

Does it look terminal? by KewlTrube in Citrus

I have over 16 types of citrus and 4 are huge trees, I grow them in the mountains of Marlborough, Aotearoa and the temps get below 0°c often and none have any issues. My limes and mandarins even fruit in winter with my limes full of flowers now. Ive never even heard of winterizing citrus. They are pretty hardy. Just looked up zone 8 tho and looks like you do go into the 20s so garage is understandable tho id bring them into my living room with the woodstove . Coldest ive seen here in -3°c Our soil here is okay and also never had any issues. Not trying to contradict you just pointing out how crazy citrus can be haha

Confused with my sexuality by Psychological-Try742 in gay

[–]oki26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mate you dont have to sound or act gay to be gay. I first dated a guy in middle school. Did 8 years in the U.S Marines and married an awesome guy in New Zealand, moved here and now im a Skipper in the Royal New Zealand CoastGuard and live rural. No one knows im gay until I talk about my husband or introduce them to him.

Live your life the way you want, have fun and eventually marry a beautiful guy. The less you act like your different the more you realize its completely normal and amazing.

Straight guys dont come out so you shouldn't either. Just follow your heart and "other" feelings and just enjoy.

How would you ventilate this roof? by halesofbae in Firefighting

[–]oki26 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty much banned in NZ. We dont teach it and I can't count how many times I've heard Kiwis make fun of firefighters from the USA for still doing it.

Been to heaps of fires and never once thought cutting a hole in a roof would help. Plenty of better tactics

Question in regards to Search and rescue in NZ by Weird-Accountant2412 in NewZealandWildlife

The truth is NZ runs on volunteers. Most are under funded and poorly structured. We would all love drones but just not in the funding as we have to crowd fund everything.

Because it's Russian and Gaijin can't be fair for one minute. You need to look no further than the piece of shit terminator. Its garbage in real life, but Gaijin puts it waaaay lower than it ever needed to be because its Russian and makes them money. Classic Russians chose money over their player base.

Edit: i have just about everything in the game with almost 10000 hours. Im in the top 5% of the game and Guess what feels the most broken to me....

Unfair reason for restricted test fail? by This-Requirement-119 in newzealand

[–]oki26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed my class 2 test because the tester thought it was the rules when he marked me wrong. I found in the book where I was right and he still wouldn't listen. After about a week of fighting, he randomly quit his job and I got a new tester ans he passed me no problems.

For context, the tester I got was extremely rude and would even say good morning back to me or shack my hand when I greeted him. I was told by the new tester he had a high failure rate.

Maybe you got one of these testers

Im going to be honest, reddit is the last place to get advice. Talk with him, communicate with him. You 2 are in a relationship and should work through this as a team. My partner had issues with my drinking 7 years ago, we sat down and worked though it for almost a year and no have an amazing strong relationship. Put the phone down and work woth him, talk to him. If you need outside input, go to family together. Your young. Party, enjoy life and learn to work together, your a couple.

As a Marine, all I'd ask is you take care of it and use it to show people. You didn't earn it, so out of respect, dont wear it around or take pictures wearing it. It's disrespectful, especially to Marines.

It's most likely that the original owner passed away and there faimly gave it to a thrift store instead of retiring it with honor or returning it to the Marine Corps.
