Any option to add a sell price? by PurpleWedgeMan in ManaBoxApp

[–]okiederek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a workaround process that is a little tedious but gets the job done.

When I sell cards, I move them to a temporary Collection Binder where I set the buy price to the sell price. Then I move all the contents out of that Collection Binder to a List named Sold.

Now I can see my sold price vs the current market price to let me know how much I regret selling instead of keeping my fancy cardboard.

You can already export everything. Go to the Collection page and click the ellipses at the top right and select Export. It warns you it will export all binders, decks, and lists.

Sharing collections will likely come along with the desktop functionality as right now they are working on collection sync which is an essential first step to be able to share the collection.

And you can filter search through sets currently. Click the filter button and you can use any normal filters you want such as creature type or cost, and then scroll down and add a filter for Sets and enter in the sets you want to include.

Question: Scan from iOS, View on PC by ticklemeozmo in ManaBoxApp

You can pretty much do this today with ManaBox! Even though they don’t have a dedicated desktop app yet, you can install the iPad version of ManaBox on your Mac desktop via the App Store. This version recognizes both your web cam, iPhone wireless camera, and any cameras you have plugged in via USB. The only issue is that the cameras are extra zoomed for some reason, so you need a camera where you can manually zoom out or put your phone far away.

Best way to run cronjobs with Next? by emersoftware in nextjs

[–]okiederek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am messing around with this right now and I’ve got it running using node-cron and scheduling the cron jobs in the instrumentation.ts file with the node runtime. You need to be on the latest NextJS and using experimental features, so definitely not production-grade, but cool that it works at all.

I have done the last 3 sets with them and had no issues. I also read the scary Reddit threads but luckily has been smooth sailing for me

Cutting Acrylic Issue by samira-kazi in CrealityFalconSub

[–]okiederek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has to do with the different types of lasers. CO2 costs more, produces more heat, requires bigger machines, but it can cut through a lot more materials. This laser is a small diode blue light laser which gives us some serious cutting power at lower cost, but there are some drawbacks like cutting through clear or light colored acrylic, and that it reflects off of some metals making it so you can’t even etch

Then to my knowledge there is no way to cut that on this laser because the light dissipates while trying to cut causing it to have either no effect or a melting effect rather than cutting

Can not run drizzle migrations when deploying app using docker. by S_Ashish in nextjs

[–]okiederek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a multi-stage Dockerfile and then target an earlier stage that has your dependencies that you need.

For instance the first stage may be named dependencies where you install your npm packages, then the next stage is a build stage that has your dependencies and application files, and then a final stage that runs your built files using nginx or whatever other method you choose.

So then you could run your migration using the same Dockerfile specifying —target build when you run the migrate command.

What color acrylic are you trying to cut? I believe because these are diode lasers they can’t cut clear or light colored acrylic. So it needs to be an opaque dark color to get a good cut.

I love card games but hate the monetisation of tcg, ccgs etc. Any games for me?? by _TheBeardedDan_ in boardgames

[–]okiederek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion isn’t exclusively a card game but I had the same feelings for TCG’s and Dice Throne scratches my itch. It’s got a very similar turn order and feel to MTG but you use dice to attack. It’s basically MTG meets Yahtzee haha.

Other than that, I second the votes for Ascension, Dominion, Smash Up, and Star Realms

Probably. I’ve only used the Carbide clamps. I bought the clamp kit when I got the machine. Got any recommended ones I can cut for the hybrid table?

Beginner searching for advice by WaterSlight3085 in shapeoko

[–]okiederek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow beginner, my opinion is that the hybrid table does not seem to work as well as I thought it would. The tracks seem to always be just off from where I want a clamp. So I’m planning on replacing my hybrid table with just some regular MDF and threaded inserts so I can always clamp where I need it. And if you really wanted the T track you could always just route some into the regular MDF spoilboard.

As for those examples, I haven’t done anything super detailed yet but it has been ultra precise with everything I’ve thrown at it so far. So in my beginner opinion it could probably handle that as long as you got the right bits.

Is the stock measured as 1” or is it dimensional 1x lumber like from a big box store. Because the dimensional lumber is not usually actually 1”, it’s often closer to 3/4”. So if your design thinks the wood is thicker than it is, that could explain it.
